Unless you have to, do not come to this airport! We traveled there today to visit and take photos of the former drag strip and air base. The lady living at the airport came outside and yelled at us for taking photos. After she went inside her home at the airport, we went in the FBO, it was filthy, and nothing worked, worthless. We exited the FBO and walked over to the home the lady yelled at us from and knocked. She answered the door and said "what do you need and why are you here we are the managers!" she also has a large Doberman pincher she was holding back from attacking us. We asked for some airport information and she told us she had none and again asked why we were there. I asked if this was a private airport and she responded "its owned by the state!" reason 4. Taxiways are very uneven there are large cracks and little maintenance being done. We had a terrible trip there and will never come back. Too bad the facility is being run by such poor help.

In addition to the avgas pump not working, the pilots lounge "coke" machine in inop. No Internet, no TV.

Called before I traveled there. However, the manual pump is locked and the guy manning the pump doesn’t work Fridays (didn’t know this). ...And CASH ONLY no CREDIT CARD. Adding insult to injury, the taxi areas have a lot of uneven pavement - wrecked a wheel pant and got a flat. Bad day.
