Once again, SS pumps about mid-field next to an older hangar, newer terminal at north end of field. Credit card machine worked well. After fueling we taxied up to the terminal to eat our sack lunch. Very nice terminal.

Similar to a previous comment, we noticed the new terminal facility toward the north side of mid-field. However the SS fuel was back toward the approach end of runway 05, next to an older hangar. One heads up, it looks like they've changed fuel vendors because the tall fuel sign was covered over, which initially created some doubt as to whether the facility was still operational. However, just as we were pulling up to the pumps, a pickup truck came driving up along the airfield road, over from the newer facility. The driver immediately unlocked the older facility to make the restrooms available. Looks like it would have been a much different story after hours. However, everything worked fine for us. While still at the fuel pumps I was able to pick up our outbound IFR clearance over the phone with no delay and a strong cell signal. What's lacking in facilities at the SS fueling was made up for with hospitality and quick service.

I diverted to the airport due to weather on the way back from Florida on 2/27/11. During landing, my right main tire went flat. Within 5 minutes, the airport manager was out on the runway and helped me push the plane off to the side. An airport neighbor drove me to town for a patch kit and I was able to fix the tire, topoff with gas and leave within 2 hours. Thanks for the great service. I will be back again.

Flew in to participate in a volunteer Medical/Dental Health Clinic. The staff was great. Made hangar space available and were very helpful with all arrangements needed. Thanks to All!

Stopped for fuel on my way back from Houston. I called ahead and airport manager Hank stayed late for me. Great service, friendly people, nice terminal, beautiful area. I'll be back again!

We stopped for fuel on our way back from Sun 'n' Fun. What a nice airport! Everything was clean and nice. The SS fuel was very reasonable and worked well. There is a new building at the other end of the runway that looks fabulous. I would just like to make a couple of suggestions: One, please find a way to make restrooms available after regular business hours. Two, please consider putting out a picnic table or two. After getting fuel, we made a cold cut meal and enjoyed it outside while admiring the beautiful scenery but there was no place to do this other than a park bench, which meant we almost shared our dinner with a couple of very friendly airport dogs! Again, these are just suggestions-SCX has certainly been added to my log of places to stop when traveling across TN!

We stopped in yesterday for fuel and restroom break. The women were not happy that the beautiful terminal was locked during published business hours. The only fuel (Self-Serve) system would not work. I called the only published phone number on the AirNav website, and could hear the phone ringing in the locked building. Self-Serve fuel is about 3/4 mile from the terminal (not a problem for me). I can't say I'll stop there again...
