Flew in with my niece from a rather bumpy flight. We were greeted by Mr. Perry who was very informative and pleasant. This is a very nice facility with fuel at a reasonable price. I learned much about the local area and plan to return.

Very quiet airport on Labor Day, understandably; the fuel was as advertised, the pump worked well, and the building was open for a bathroom break. This is a nice, easy fuel stop. See you all next time.

Had a nice stop here on 8/23/09. The owner of the 59er Motel picked ups up, and dropped us off in the morning. The airport manager helped us with the self-service fuel. All and all an easy and pleasant overnight stop.

In July 2008, I stopped here for fuel and ended up with a mechanical problem. The Manager, Monica Tiemeyer, drove to the airport on her day off to let me move the plane into a hangar before a thunderstorm hit. She also advised me on motels and places to eat and lent me an airport car. All this help when she had very little time as she had company coming over for dinner that evening. I certainly appreciate all the wonderful service that she provided. Thank you Monica!

Very nice looking facility, but totally useless unless one is there during bankers hours. It's probably great for the hobbiests who like to fly on nice days, but it's not helping the community grow if it's not available for non locals.

Was delivering a Helio Courier H-700 to Calgary, Alberta and was confronted with thunderstorms in our path. KSDA was nearest and landed 3/07/07. Monica Tiemeyer, airport manager greeted us and was most congenial and helpful. Besides fueling, pushing airplane into a hangar loaned a car, recommended hotel and food she went the extra mile and came out early morning on her day off, 4th of July to see us off. Wonderful place. My congratulations, Monica.

We stopped on a Sunday morning going from Duluth to Texas. The facility is normally closed on Sunday but you can get gas. I called the airport manager, Monica, and she offered to come out to let my passengers in to use the facilities. I offered to pay her for coming out and she declined. This was a great FBO with wonderful fuel price and nice people in the form of Monica. I recommend a stop at SDA but on Sundays plan on gas only and no FBO services.
