First Flight is First Class. I fly down from KSEE because the FBO up there is No Class.

These folks understand that businesses serving GA do better by developing relationships with long term repeat customers than by collecting the nickels and dimes to be had from transients. For small-town style service and support in SoCal, you can't do better. Not flashy but worth stop.

First flight was great. Must be family owned or something. The hospitality was great. They were very helpful with ground transportation arrangements too. FYI- To get there the taxiway is very bumpy. Traveling east away from First Flight will take you over a "speedbump" that almost took my nose wheel off the ground.

Nice self serve facility. I appreciated the new elevated hose reel - much easier to use. The gentleman working ground frequency was very cooperative for tower en route IFR clearance back home after getting fuel. Also there is a VOT on 109.0 so I was able to get reasonably priced fuel, test my VORs and do an instrument approach & departure in a little more than 1 hour of flight.

First Flight makes me wish I lived down in Socal; bar none, it is by far the best flight school from which I have rented an aircraft. Tom makes you feel very welcome from moment one, and Pete is an excellent instructor who can probably teach any pilot something new. The aircraft may not be of the latest mint, but they ARE taken care of (that's what counts), and I have yet to match their rental rates anywhere in California (read - $110.00 tach WET). And I can completely vouch for them for anyone wishing to rent a plane to go down to Mexico - their pretrip preparations for documentation requirements plus thorough how-to briefings cover everything from top to bottom. My Baja flight was a complete breeze, and I have First Flight to thank for that.
