After a weekend camping trip to Lake Whitney State Park (F50), my son and I had to make the return trip to Aero Country (T31) via Stephenville. The FBO is great, the people friendly, and lunch at Hard 8 BBQ was delicious. Can't wait to make the trip again.

Flew in yesterday for some great food. There were 2 golfcarts next to the hangar to use. SEP is taken care of very well. Will be back soon!

Nice facilities, although it seemed unmanned when we flew in. SS worked fine, and the golf carts were there to use to get to Hard 8 BBQ. I'd consider the 3.5 hour ride there just for the BBQ.

Great Field. Great Terminal building. Flew in just to try the famous Hard 8 BBQ. Well worth the flight. Awesome Texas BBQ. Wonderful town with wonderful people. I could live there.

Excellent! Some of the nicest people and newest FBO I have ever seen. Southern hospitality at its best!!

Fantastic New FBO building that puts the old one to Shame! Unfortunately, due to the irresponsible and embarrassing actions of foreign flight students, the Hard 8 BBQ has removed the golf carts from the Airport and you now have to walk or call for a ride. Same great service from them and the airport thought!

Not only is the airport great, but the community is also. We ended up here overnight because of weather delays. Other pilots told us about Hard-8, so we had a tasty dinner there. One of the bus boys gave us a ride to the hotel. Someone from the airport fetched us the next morning for departure. Everyone we ran into was super nice and we will definitely stop in again the next time the winds take us that direction.

Flew in yesterday to try out the Hard 8, arrived just after the FBO closed but plenty of good people around to point us in the right direction. Reasonable fuel, though not the cheapest in the land - worth the stop. Golf cart to the Hard 8 BBQ - great FBO facility avail after hours.

Came back for another dose of Hard 8, and the new terminal is very nice, indeed!

Great airport with newly finished runway and ramp. A good number of clearly painted parking places, with coated chains for easy tie-down. The terminal (which is undergoing a serious renovation) is not open on Sundays. The short walk or golf cart ride over to Hard 8 BBQ makes the trip well worth it! Keep your eyes and ears open for parachuting activity at the field. We will definitely be back!

Response from Todd Downs, Stephenville Aviation
The terminal building is now open. It has 24 hour access with key pad entry. The code will be the CTAF freq. or AWOS freq. Please come by and see our new building.

Friendly people, good price on fuel. They are building a new terminal, which looks like it will be real nice when it's done.

While on my Solo Cross Country a couple months back, I lost a magneto in route and landed at KSEP, the mechanics loaned me tools and offered to loan me a mag to finish my trip (I had already called home and had one being flown to me), and stayed around after hours until my ride arrived. Great service, helpful, and friendly.

I flew into KSEP yesterday for the first time to grab some of that amazing Hard 8 BBQ! Grabbed one of the golf carts parked on the flightline and headed over. It appears that the flightline and the runway have recently been resurfaced to a nice blacktop, so beware of that when looking for the airport...It's not the white concrete finish as shown in the picture. Great little airport with friendly people. I will be back any chance I get.
