From Brad Benson on 11-Feb-2008: KSEP makes the best fly-in BBQ stop in the state, if not beyond. Hard 8 BBQ is top-notch. The 1.5 to 2" thick pork chops are to-die-for. Hard 8 keeps two golf carts at the FBO for the 1/4-mile or so ride to the restaurant. If they're gone, just call and they pick you up. I've made this trip in 19 Romeo about 8 or 10 times now. The airport is no-frills, but it makes a great, fast, friendly stop.

Credit card reader easy to use, just make sure you hit the fuel quantity reset button on the side (really hard) before you try to fuel, or you'll have to re-swipe. Hard Eight BBQ is good. Two golf carts available.
From JD Kinman on 10-Dec-2006: Absolutely one of the best fly-in destinations in all of Texas. If you're a BBQ connoisseur, Hard 8 is in the top ten in the Lone Star State. The Stephenville Aviation bunch is as good as it gets and reminds me why I cherish small town airports so much.
From Mark LaRue on 04-May-2006: Folks, I've flown the Navion to darn near every flat place in Texas and half of America and the Hard Eight Barbeque takes it for coolest place to fly in and eat. Do it. Grab a room 'cause the beer is free.
From Boris Dantus on 05-Mar-2006: Second time stopping in for some BBQ at Hard Eight...GREAT BBQ, GREAT golf carts, nice little airport FBO. Friendly FBO w/ss. Great place to fly in for lunch.
