Nobody at FBO that knew how to turn on electricity to pump. Went nearby KMBG & got great service.

After spending 2 hours looking on AirNav for somewhere to fuel the Caravan with Jet A, I spoke with Gregg Pardieck of Pardieck Aviation who said that he would either find an 8 foot ladder if the single point fueling didn't work (it worked just fine). Everyone else that I spoke with seemed to be scratching their heads when I discussed fueling this airplane. Gregg tracked us on FlightAware and by the time we were fueled I barely had time to use the facilities! It was the same quick turn on the way back I also learned that he has a vineyard nearby; I intend to tour that next time! Great service.

At $7.00 / gal, it must be the best 100LL in the U.S.! Worst thing is that you're not aware of how expensive the fuel is until you've already pumped it, since the price isn't posted anywhere and hasn't been in the 2 1/2 yrs that I've been there.

We stopped over for fuel and a brief break enroute both directions. As mentioned below, use the Unicom freq "1228" to enter the side door for the Pilot's Lounge for bathroom, weather PC, etc. - all nice and clean. We had a great conversation with a couple of Pardieck Aviation gents at the fuel pump, one who owns a winery - Chateau de Pique. There is currently taxiway construction work of some kind going on so pay attention to ASOS/ATIS for instructions.

Landed at SER around 11:20am local, on a Tuesday. Was met on landing, but then told that the FBO closed at 11am local. I had looked at the hours on their website the day before we arrived and it said that they were open from 7:30am until dusk. If they aren't going to be open until dusk, the hours on their website should really be changed so that customers are aware that no one will be there after 11am.
