On Friday, December 23rd, I arrived in a Citation to pick-up two passengers. Fuel had previously been arranged through my scheduling office and I tried to contact the FBO on 122.825 to let them know how much gas we would need. There was no answer over the radio and upon arriving at Avion, we found out they were out of jet fuel. In speaking with employees, they said this was the 3rd day without jet. I just called down there today and they are still out. That's a week without jet fuel!!! They tried to get the other FBO on the field to come give us gas but after waiting an hour, and not wanting to inconvenience the passengers once they arrived, we chose to continue down the road and buy gas at the next stop (at a higher rate). The management is terrible. I guess I feel the worst for the employees that have to deal with unhappy customers all day long because they can't perform the primary and most important function of any FBO.

I have done business with Avion for many years. Grew up in Sanford and visit family several times a year; service has always been great. Since the buyout by Quinn, things have gone downhill. Staff are still the best... Friendly and helpful. Prices are beyond ridiculous. $75 to park a light twin (Baron) on the ramp overnight. First night parking is waived if you buy fuel, but $75 thereafter. Fuel is higher by far from the other FBO. I asked to speak to the manager about the high prices. He said that he would ask the VP if they could give me a better deal. Thanks, but we are negotiating down from $75 when the other FBO charges $20 for the same airplane. I will not be back to Avion. I don't write a review like this lightly. But Avion's policies make it clear that they do not want GA business. I would like to thank all of the employees that I have met over the years...You guys have always been wonderful...Good luck!

Stopped at Avion yesterday on an IFR Training X-Country. Walked inside with my instructor to debrief and file our return flight plan and was told I would have to pay a $35.00 ramp fee unless I bought 20 gallons of fuel. I was only able to get 8 gallons @ $5.35 per gallon so they waived the ramp fee. $35.00 ramp fee for a 15 minute stop and a phone call. It is hard to run a successful FBO with no repeat customers... I'll never be back!! Response from Travis W. Owens Operations Manager at Avion By Quinn We here at Avion by Quinn take pride in our customer service. We do charge ramp fees, just like any other F.B.O with the choice to waive the fees with a minimum fuel purchase. Mr. Quinn the owner of this FBO pays for hangar parking, services and fees on his own jet, in his own building anytime he uses our services. We wish that we didn't have to charge anyone ramp fees and prefer to sell fuel. Also, just as we did for Mr. Smith we will help you out any way we can. We waived his ramp fee for an 8 gal purchase, when it was suppose to be 20 gal.. If we did not care for our customers this would have been a charge of 8 gal. And a $35 ramp fee. Please don't take my word for it drop in to Avion and let us serve you with our EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE and competitive fuel prices.

The purpose of my recent visit to KSFB was for maintenance of my Cheyenne by Central Florida Aircraft Maintenance (this was a positive experience, too). AVION made arrangements for a rental car and cheerfully refueled the Cheyenne on the CFAM ramp --- for my convenience. I was impressed with the customer service attitudes demonstrated by the AVION employees and will use this FBO as my destination for future trips to the Orlando area.

Prior to coming into Sanford, we had them arrange a hotel and car. Our arrival was delayed and we didn't show up until after the 10 closing time. Without our arranging, the line guy stayed late to take care of us. We were quite relieved to still have our hotel and not have to climb out over the fence! The great customer service is appreciated and we will definitely be back next time in town.

We were a seasonal base at Avion for six months last winter and just were there for four days and their service and attitude continues to be outstanding. They treat our single engine just as important as their jet traffic and we are always made to feel most welcome. I understand that their ownership has recently changed, but luckily they have kept Jason as their line manager and Amy as their customer service manager, and I am confident that no one will be disappointed when they use Avion. Hey, by the way, their fuel prices are generally very competitive in Central Florida, and Sanford airport is like having your own private international airport!
