I have been flying into SNA frequently for 10 years now. Signature SNA has some of the best customer service and line service anywhere! Everyone is well trained and experienced, which shows. Best of all, they actually care about whether your experience is a good one. Call to check on ramp fees and fuel prices! Signature SNA has reduced their fees and fuel prices for us jet drivers, even to the point where I'm often surprised how reasonable they are. Both FBOs at SNA can be pricey by piston standards compared to the small surrounding airports, but if you're flying turbine equipment you might be surprised; it seams like Signature is changing, wanting to be the cheapest on the field. With professional service, a nice facility, 3 crew cars, and reasonable pricing, Signature SNA has everything I need. Why go anywhere else?!

Echoing comments from other posters recently, Signature's fees have just gotten crazy. Transient over night parking fee is $45 per night and there is a $50 service fee unless you buy at least 20 gallons of 100LL at $7.29/gal! I've been flying my Saratoga into SNA for over 10 years to visit relatives, and recall the days when Newport Jet Center (now Atlantic) used to charge $6/night for transient tie-down and Signature was $15/night. Lower cost alternatives in the area include Corona (AJO) and Oceanside (OKB), both with fuel that is about $2/gal cheaper and have tie-down fees an order of magnitude less ($5/night).

The days for piston singles at SNA are numbered. Atlantic won't touch us, and Signature wants $44/night for parking, plus a $50 "handling fee" unless you fill up at $7+ per gallon. Very sad to see one of the best airports for us little guys slipping away.

John Wayne is a nice airport in a beautiful area. Flying in over the coast and signal peak is a must. I am a newly certified private pilot, and I wanted to make a visit home in the OC. Signature is a very nice facility with good service. The linemen were right there to marshal me in, despite my tiny size in comparison to their usual business. Beside some confusion about fees, etc over the phone, my experience was a good one. The costs were a painful smack to a college student's wallet, though. All in all, Signature was a positive experience, thank you!

Boycott the SNA cartel and use FUL or CNO. Crazy prices. Dropped off a passenger and were charged an $80 'ramp or handling fee' (whatever that is?) when no services were rendered. What used to be the best airport in So Cal is now easily the worst! Just say NO to SNA!

Ramp fee at Signature is now up to $50 for a single-engine aircraft. This fee is waived if you buy 20 gallons of fuel (up from the previous 7 gal). Overnight fee is $44 for a single.

WOW- I have made my last stop here. They just no longer want any bug smashers. I called and confirmed the price and still on departure was charged $79.00 for one night. This is a lot more then it used to be. I hope they open something like they just did at CRQ here. No amount of cookies or golf cart rides makes this seem worthwhile to me!!

Signature has increased fees as of 1 April. Transient over night parking fee is now $44 for a single engine airplane. There is a $28 ramp fee unless you buy at least 7 gallons of 100LL at $6.44/gal (minus $.50/gal on weekends). By contrast, Atlantic Aviation (the only other option on the field) is $25/night for a single with a $40 ramp fee unless you buy 15 gallons at $6.55/gal. Parking at either place is limited due to ramp construction. It is really tight at Atlantic and they recommend you call in advance to check availability. The wide-open space available at the old El Toro Marine Base is sure looking good about now. Too bad its being converted into malls and housing. Welcome to Orange County, happy shopping!

The facility is beautiful and the people are professional, but this FBO has fuel prices and parking fees that are significantly higher than anyone in that area. I still don't understand the $29 "handling fee" I was charged for walking in the door.

I fly both a Citation Jet and my C340 into Signature KSNA on a regular basis. They do an excellent job! First class service on arrival with baggage cart standing by and help unloading the aircraft, taking the cart to your car, and help unloading to the car. The line and counter people are professional, friendly and helpful. Prices are higher than podunk airports, but not out of line for the service and convenience to Orange County. 50-cent discount for avgas on weekends.

Yikes, are you trying to run me off the airport? I parked in overflow near Atlantic and went to check in. They said that due to construction Signature has control of the overflow parking. Normally I pay $6 a day and $20 handling at Atlantic. I went to Signature and they want $22 a day and $27 unless I buy gas at $6.02/G. What is this? The airport makes them (Atlantic and Signature) pay some $5 for the spot I am in. Signature isn't even going to see my plane or touch it and for that I get the privilege of paying $49 for a night. Get me out of here! It is cheaper to park overnight at KCNO and commute into KSNA. Taking my Cirrus elsewhere - thanks for taking advantage of the parking situation due to the construction.

Heard some horror stories about Signature but my experience with Signature at SNA has been fantastic. Very friendly service, accommodating and timely. Let me borrow their crew car for extended hours, provided prompt shuttle service when needed. Very happy with them.

Flew in 172 today, very nice/friendly staff. Gave a crew car to pick up passengers from airline terminal. Nice facility with good flight planning setup. Yes, the fuel is expensive but as we all know - that is the price you pay to fly into a large convenient airport.

Normally, I avoid Signature like the plague, but having done some research here, it looked like there was no choice for my recent business trip. I'm pleased to say that my experience at Signature SNA was very positive. The staff were all friendly, helpful, and professional. Handling fee was waived with fuel purchase, and they even gave me the weekend fuel discount on a Monday. I was given a courtesy ride into town, and the plane was fueled and ready when I returned.

Flew in today for a quick lunch stop during some IFR currency flying. Line guy was there to park us and the desk staff was great. They offered us a crew car even though we were just taking 12 gallons in a 172. The keys for the car were missing so they gave us a ride and told us to call them for a ride back. Nice people there and I will certainly visit them again. Based on what I heard, I think they are quite friendly to "little plane people" on the weekend since they have to deal with a bunch of jet guys all the time. They give $0.50/gallon discount on the weekends and based on that, their fuel cost isn't too bad based on their location.

I buy fuel from Signature often. Besides being overpriced, the service is sometimes good, most of the time not good. Fuel spilling, waiting too long for the truck to arrive, and just plain "we really don't care" type of attitude... Because I am based at JWA, guess there is not much of an option. The other FBO (Atlantic) prices are just as high if not higher...

Yikes... Flew in to SNA in a trusty 172 to drop a friend off... A 5 minute stop, no, make that a 3-minute stop... Signature charged me their full ramp fee anyway... They would not discuss it or even consider the length of my stay... They got bigger fish to fry then me, but I got burned anyway. The friendly skies are everywhere, but not there...I won't be back.

Landed just after noon on a busy Monday. We called Signature on 135.9 and a ramp person was waiting to direct us to parking. She was very friendly, had us parked and the fuel truck on its way before we walked to the terminal. Pilot lounge was equipped with massage chairs, mmmmmm, nice, who needs popcorn? The ramp fee was waived for a very modest fuel purchase we’ll be back.

Hands down the worst service I've ever seen. No one to marshal me in, no signs, no nothing. I parked somewhere near all of the other singles and walked to wait for a chance at a luggage cart (which I shared with another "lost" Signature customer). I must admit that I felt almost gleeful that they waived the $25 (!!!) ramp fee after I bought their $5.10/gal 100LL. Unfortunately this euphoria was interrupted when I saw the eight (yes, I love my airplane and yes, I counted them) greasy handprint all over the tail of my beautiful white airplane. Of course, this was after I schlepped my own bags back to my airplane. Signature is a joke; I'll try the other transient FBO (Atlantic Aviation) next time. They really couldn't be much worse.

I used Signature on Labor Day trip to Orange County in my Cirrus. As expected, their prices were high, but I expected quality service. I was disappointed. I found Signature SNA very disorganized. They lost my rental car reservation; I had to wait 45 minutes to get someone to help with my baggage, and had to ask 5 times for a fuel truck. There were a lot of Signature staff around but they did not seem to be interested in serving a GA customer.

Generally avoid Signature because of their charges and very bad service at SFO, one of our frequent stops. Tried them @ SNA on 7/29/2006 and was surprised by the very good service and reasonable minimum fuel purchase for a King Air necessary to waive the handling charge. Fuel price was also in line with the area. Maybe they should send their manager to straighten out SFO and LAS.

I flew in to John Wayne on a holiday weekend after having my first experience in the soup. (at least in a light aircraft C-172G). Staff was courteous and helpful. They took us to the rental car facility and took the car back when we left. I would recommend Signature to everyone. Every time I have used Signature at any airport it has been a pleasureable experience.

Arrived in a C172 Sunday 3/19 around noon. As we taxied into Signature a lineman guided us into a tiedown spot and after stopping the engine he tied down the plane. Alicia at the front desk offered us a 50 cent/gal weekend discount on fuel and a crew car for us to use. We left in the crew car for a couple of hour's. When we returned the plane was fueled. Tiedown fee is waived with purchase of 7 gallon's of fuel. Excellent service in a nice facility with great staff. Will definitely return to Signature when going to SNA.

Very helpful and friendly FBO, top notch facilites. On this most recent trip they helped us with baggage, loaned us a crew car and treated us like you'd expect anyone buying 1000s of lbs of JET-A to be treated. Of course we only bought about 21 gallons of 100LL but that doesn't matter to Signature. Thanks guys, we'll use you every time.

Signature treated us well even though we don't burn jet fuel and fly a T210 instead. They allowed us to park right out front to unload and then moved the plane to a tiedown later in the day. Fueling was done properly and the staff were friendly and competent. I'll be back!

I regularly fly into SNA and have used both FBO's quite a few times. The amenities here are excellent, typical of a Signature location. But, as is true of most businesses, it's the people working there who have the ability to set the company apart and I haven't been to a better FBO anywhere. They are organized, help whenever possible, discount wherever they can and, most importantly, always treat my kids well. Thanks and well done.
