Fantastic service. Stayed overnight, they tied-down the plane, fueled as requested. No fees, only fuel cost (a mere $35). Called ahead and requested a cab, woman at the counter called the cab as soon as I walked in, had all my info based on tail #. Highly recommended. Can't wait to go back.

So far, this is the best FBO I have ever used. I have been here previously and got great service. This trip, it was exceptional. On 11/20/07, we landed here due to bad weather at our northerly destination. They gave us a crew car for the night. On 11/21/07, the weather was worse and the rest of the trip had to be made by car. The quickly arranged a rental car and hangared the plane without complaints. Upon returning a day early, they had the plane ready to go promptly on 11/24/07. Everything went smoothly despite my ever-changing plans. This FBO will remain on my list of planned stops for all trips North.

Their name says it all! I had filed IFR from Reidsville NC to Springfield in my Cardinal and was fighting head winds to get there. I had not called ahead to let them know I was coming but they saw me coming on Flight-aware and waited 30 minutes after closing time to see if I needed anything. That’s what I call service. Now I know why I always go there anyway. Thanks again 1st Class Air.

1st Class is just that - first class all around. Very helpful and friendly staff. My son and I arrived to pay a visit to the Lincoln Museum (a must see, by the way). We were parked right in front and given use of the courtesy car for 4 hours. Skip all the other FBOs at SPI and pull up to 1st Class for real service with a smile.

Really first class. Flew in Thurs evening on our way back to Texas. Offered and took the courtesy car overnight. Nice folks. This is a nice towered controlled airport. Be sure to check out Abe Lincoln's house. We did this in the evening after hours with no problem.

I visited 1st Class Air recently, flying a Beech Duke from Scottsdale, AZ to Cadillac, MI and found their service great. I review comments on FBOs prior to our flights for both Citation SII and Duke, and was pleased with our overnight stay at 1st. Class Air. I was promptly greeted on the ramp; staff makes hotel recommendations and pickup during a busy weekend. I seek small companies who appreciate our business and provide personal service not found with national FBOs. The pilot shop was great, needed a few en route charts, everything was priced fairly, including fuel. Look forward to a return visit in the future. L. Carson Captain, SII

1st Class should write the book on customer service for all Fobs. Hard to add anything to all these glowing remarks, but ditto. 1st Class definitely gives you the feel of down home airport in a Class C. There appeared to even be hangar rats (a definite term of endearment to me). I wish I had caught the name of the guy who chocked my wheels. He was extremely nice. Say Hi to Patsy. The next time I get a chance to visit I hope to bring a couple of cases of beer. My trip was too short (40 minutes) to require any gas, but I was treated well just the same.

Very good experience on a one-night stay. They tied down the aircraft and helped with rental car. Located next to terminal were rental car companies are located. The Lincoln home and museum are a must to visit.

1st Class Air is truly first class. Their consistency of high service is unmatched by any other FBO I have visited. I recently had to leave my aircraft with for a couple of days due to weather and they said they would "take care of it as if it were their own." That is how they treat their patrons every time - all the time.

These guys are great. I diverted in there for weather around 10 one-week night. They found a hotel for me (apparently not an easy task in Springfield without prior reservations), lent me the crew car, took care of my plane, and had me fueled (at a reasonable price) before morning. Only complaint was that they talked me into putting my airplane in the hangar after I declined their initial offer -- I thought they were being nice, and so finally accepted. They then charged me $35 without asking, but when I questioned it (before they got the plane into the hangar) they refunded the charge and left the plane outside. Seems like a reasonable outcome, but if they'd told me up front there'd be a charge, I'd have said no thanks. (Actually I said no thanks even before the charge, but they kept offering.)

I stopped for fuel today and was hungry. Was going to walk over to the terminal for a Subway (beat the Twinkie in the vending machine) when the nice guy at the service counter asked if I was in a hurry. I wasn't so he suggested I use the courtesy car and run over to the Parkway Café. Great "mom & pop" operation with good food and great service. What a nice stop. Thanks.

5661K: On March 9, 2007 made my first trip to Springfield airfield. 1st Class Air was a wonderful host and allowed the use of a conference room for a meeting. Top-off and service excellent. Additionally, approach-tower-ground all courteous, helpful and pleasant even on my departure while tending to an emergency landing, which ended without incident. All good folks.

Oct. 7 2006 Wow! What an excellent destination. The name pretty much says it all, friendly, courteous, car, fair price for fuel, and fun stuff to see. Our second visit and will return. Should be required visit for all FBO's to see how service should be done. The city father's can be quite proud of these ambassador’s. We fly a piper Colt and one would think we arrived in a Citation. Thanks again Paul & Mary Sheriff

Stopped at First Class as our last stop from Florida to Oshkosh. Line guy was very friendly and gave us prompt service in our 172, even before the F18 that pulled in after us! Cute girl at the front desk to greet us offered us free bottles of water. Nice, clean FBO, and the cookies were fresh too!

Stopped in at KSPI for an overnight to let the kids see the Lincoln Sites. The folks at 1st Class are the best ambassadors a city could ever hope for. They provided a crew car overnight (insisted on it!) and directed us to the sites, the best lodging and dining. No ramp fees and we were happy to purchase more fuel than we really needed. Rob pumped up the front tire on our Baron in 100 plus degree heat and we had to force him to accept a small gratuity. These folks are genuinely great. The Lincoln Museum exceeds a Disney Class facility...Absolutely incredible.

Super friendly staff! Stopped here in a Cessna 172 for fuel and a rest stop on April 28. The line staff was courteous, and the office personnel all gave us first class service. Loaned us the courtesy car and gave directions to a good local restaurant. I will use this FBO again.

Flew into KSPI on March 10, 2006 10:00PM. Not only was the approach controller fantastic, the outstanding service continued at First Class Air. The line staff was professional, polite and just real nice people, inside we were met with the same customer service by one of the nicest gentleman ever to work in aviation. We were given information about lodging, isued a courtesy car all with a smile. This service continued into the following day with more staff as well as the original crew we first met. In my 36 years of aviation, this FBO was simply outstanding. All my cross country flights will include a stop at SPI and First Class Air, they make you feel like a VIP. PS: I was not in a G-2 or Air Force One, just a C-206. Thanks First Class!!

Outstanding FBO. Folks were pleasant and helpful. They loaned us a courtesy car and told us how to find the Lincoln sites and places to eat. They gave us bottled water before we left on our next leg. I would definitely stop here again.

I stopped at SPI for an overnight and picked 1st Class Air due to the positive comments on AirNav. I wasn't disappointed. The line service was professional and prompt, they had a hotel and car for me in a matter of minutes, and were friendly from the line guy to the boss. I stopped again a week later only because of my first experience there. The "1st Class Air" name sure fits this FBO and I'll go out of my way on trips in the future just to do business with them.

Stopped for fuel and a quick break on our way back from Oshkosh, then discovered a broken starter.... and as it couldn't get any more worse: it was a sunday and all mechanics usually gone... The good part? Jason, Rob & Jeff! Jason took basically care of everything right away... Rob the mechanic came out on Sunday and gave his best to fix the problem with the plane. After it turned out that we had to stay for the night, Jason again helped us with a courtesy car and reserved a hotel room for a damn good price. Next morning everything was prepared, plane was ready on the ramp, and the best part: Rob only charged a very small amount for his work on the plane (<$60) so lotsa thanks go out to you guys again from Mike & Axel (Germany). Keep up the good work !

Stopped at 1st Class Air on the way to Airventure 2005. While I was very disappointed in the line service, Jason at the front desk more than made up for it. We had pre-ordered catering, and realizing that it was very hot outside, Jason had our box lunches set up inside with cold bottles of water and a cool place to sit and eat. Very professional and personable attention from Jason.

First Class Air was first class. Loaned us a fine courtesy car and made reservations for us at a good but not pricy motel. Did I fly into SPI regularly, they would be my hands down choice for an FBO. They know the meaning of customer service.

This is a pretty good FBO. I was promptly marshalled in, promptly fueled, the desk staff helped with rental car, etc. Professionals at work here, coupled with reasonable fuel prices makes a winner on my FBO list. Came to this FBO because of the other positive comments on AIRNAV, will be cack to this FBO because they lived up to their reputation.

Just returned from SPI and used 1st Class Air. Can't say enough about these folks. As a former line guy I can tell you they are top notch. Professional, friendly and willing to go the extra step. One of the owners (Phil) introduced himself when I arrived and we talked about his plans for 1st Class...he's on the right track. Best of luck.
