Stopped in for an overnight in a Citation on our way to Vermont. During the night, a surprise hailstorm hit and we woke up to hurricane-like winds and nasty looking weather (way worse than forecast.) Fortunately the hail was small and soft so there was no damage to the plane but it was hard to even walk in the wind! Chuck and his guys were super nice and considered how to open up a hangar if we couldn't get out. The wind was down the runway so Chuck (et. Al.) helped push the plane into the wind so that we could start. The departure turned out to be no problem so I want to thank Chuck and give everyone a big thumbs up for their concern and hospitality. Sterling has great prices, the runway is in great shape, and they have a really nice lounge. They also loaned us a car for the over-night stay. It's a small airport but I can pass along a very positive recommendation for the prices, the facility, and the hospitality.

The airport is fine and they helped me right away in the rain. Watch the Best Western Motel, they charge $181.00 a night for a room.
