Very helpful, nice employees with fair pricing; however, despite claims on their website, there is no pilot lounge only a separate lobby with a small TV and lobby type chairs. If you are not staying at the airport, I would recommend, but if you are there for the day, go somewhere else. In my opinion, it is inexcusable for a FBO to not have a separate pilot lounge with lazy boys and cable TV.

Landed in the evening at KSUS with an alternator problem and MWAC saved the day. Roy was outstanding and took care of getting us a courtesy car for dinner and then drove us to our hotel, he even stayed past his shift to get us to the hotel. Maintenance jumped on my alternator problem first thing in the morning and we were on our way, thanks Chris! Outstanding FBO, a little pricey, but the service is outstanding. KSUS is a great location with so many food options and services.

I fly for a company that goes in and out of SUS just about every day. The service at MWAC is always good and the people are always friendly day in and day out, even at crazy hours.

Planned to arrive in the PC-12 about 6 PM on Sunday the 20th. Called ahead to verify operations and finalize fuel price with the AirBoss discount, but was told that they couldn't process credit cards for fuel after 5 PM! Line service was not trained to perform that function. Too bad, because this is a PILATUS service center and we wanted to give them our business. If we had left copies of credit card and AirBoss card, they would have processed it next day. We decided not to do that and arrived after 6 PM at one of their competitors who also have an AirBoss discount. Not my idea of a "PRO BUSINESS MODEL, " but what would I know: I only fly a PC-12?

MWAC is the best! We flew in on a long IFR cross country for gas and food. They fueled the plane, gave us a nice new crew car, told us where to eat, etc. We had the best BBQ at PM BBQ right down the road and returned to have everything ready to go. Great people with very nice facilities.

Arrived at MWAC with a pre-arranged car rental from Hertz. Hertz delivered the car to the wrong FBO. After a few minutes Megan at the desk said for a couple of hours, just take the crew car and get to my business appointment. When I returned, Jon had the plane (C-310) fueled and ready to go. This FBO was very accommodating and helped to relieve my stress (Hertz error). I'll be back.

I flew into KSUS on June 16th, '10 and had to unexpectedly, due to weather, stayed overnight. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. They helped me on short notice get an Enterprise car, the car happened to be right in their parking lot, so it made the process quick and easy. It was easy to reach them late at night when I decided I'd be spending the night. They assured me they would keep an eye on the weather and move the plane inside if necessary. It became necessary, and they did just as promised. When I arrived to depart, the plane was ready to go as requested, with fuel, they waived the overnight fee with fuel top order. Great experience, friendly folks, I'll definitely be back at Midwest Aviation during my next stop. Thanks guys and gals!

From Tom Gresham on 25-Jul-2009

Warning!! Based on the comments here, I called Midwest Aviation Center to reserve a rental car and plan for a stay there. The woman on the phone told me the tie-down fee for a Bonanza is $50 a night. Yes. I asked her to check to make sure she wasn't talking about a King Air. Nope. A Bonanza. On the ramp and not in the hangar ($100 for the hangar), is $50 a night. I cancelled the reservation and used Executive Beechcraft, which does not charge a tie-down fee and waives the ramp fee with the purchase of fuel.

Response from Saja Duncan Customer Service Manager, Midwest Aviation Center
Mr. Gresham I apologize that you were unhappy with our ramp fees. As you can see by the prior comments over the last 3 years we are very responsive to customer needs. We too have always waived the first nights ramp rental with fuel, which is communicated during the process of setting up a reservation. We are comparable to everyone on the field for both hangar and ramp. I would welcome the opportunity to have you stay with us in the future and allow us to show you a New Standard of Service. Thank you.

I've used MAC for a few years now anytime I fly into SUS. They are always very helpful and friendly. While the fuel at the airport is a little expensive for my taste it's not out of line for similar "executive" airports. If you need to spend some time in St. Louis, I'd highly recommend using MAC.
