Diverted here after hours due to weather. Self-serve fuel and a warm pilots lounge with a bedroom, which allowed me to get some sleep before departing a few hours later. Sofa in another room and recliner in main room allowed passengers to nap. Two bathrooms and kitchen. Coffeemaker, stove, refrigerator, freezer, microwave, and vending machine. No one else around. Suggest a sign be conspicuously posted with a list of after hours services available (or what isn't available such as food delivery from town or car rental).

Diverted to Silver City because of winds and Airmet for turbulence while heading to Texas. Needed a car, hotel and fuel. Nice FBO with friendly people that helped with all the needs. Toured downtown Silver City, the old Veterans facility and ate at a great Mexican restaurant on Main St. Nice airport and facilities but 16 miles to town. If you plan a stop, call ahead for transportation and hotel. The Holiday Inn was ok and had a great breakfast served at 6 am, which allowed for an early launch and climb in cool smooth air. Thank you for the assistance.

We landed in Silver City last Wednesday evening on our way home from Los Angeles. I can't remember the service man's name but he was very courteous and friendly in assisting my family and me while I refueled our Bonanza. I was very impressed to see that they had a new FBO facility in which to refresh as well as a one-bedroom apartment next to the fuel island fully furnished with kitchen and living area if you needed a place for the night (left unlocked for late arrivals)! Fuel prices were competitive and the service was better than advertised...A very aviation-friendly airport.

Searched for a place open late. Demming, Las Cruces and TCS couldn't be bothered and had high fees/gas. The FBO at SVC let us crash in their pilot lounge - a separate building from the FBO - equipped with a kitchen, showers, couch and recliner. This didn't require the presence of any airport employee. We landed at 3am, and were able to rest quietly until our departure. Gas is very competitive. We had a good experience, and would land there again.

Self service fuel was easy to use and the price was nice. The best part was Taylor automotive (575-388-4848) that was able to set up a rental car that we could pick up and drop off after hours at the field (we got in close to 10PM). We just called them the day before and they did the rest. Great guys to work with. Enterprise won't leave cars for pickup anymore, so you have to get there during business hours (before 6 PM) or plan on being stuck at the airport (or use Taylor!).

Stopped in for fuel. Even though we were using self-service the line guy helped us out. The FBO is obviously fairly new and quite nice.
