We diverted in KSYR on a gloomy rainy night. The line crew was very helpful in unloading our plane and getting us a rental car. Unfortunately our return was the opposite. It took nearly 1.5 hours to get a ride from the rental agency to the FBO. The woman in the FBO apparently sent a van fairly quickly but she could not give us workable directions WRT where to meet the van nor could she give the van our cell number so we sat forever waiting for the next time the van could come. Worse, our plane (Cessna 340) was short about 20 gallons from being topped off. Every tank had fuel added but the bottom line is we were missing about a 1/2 hour of fuel. Also the fuel caps were aligned backwards which could result in them coming off during flight. In my mind this is criminal and the kind of thing that kills in aviation. If you can charge $6.85 for Avgas then you ought to be able to properly train your staff to fuel an aircraft. If you can't, then don't let them touch my airplane.

Arrived at Landmark last Sunday around Noon. In town to visit a terminally ill family member. Quickly fueled and given a ride to our rental car. Returning to the airport 5 hrs later all was set for a rapid departure. Charged only for the fuel and no ramp or parking fee was assessed. Good service. We would use them again if we return to the area.

I arrived for an overnight stay. The staff was very courteous and helpful. I rented a car from the main terminal and they shuttled me back and forth. Landmark bought out Exec Air so now this is the only FBO on the field. Ramp charge is $25 a night for a single engine piston, but the first night is waived if you purchase 7 gallons of fuel or more. They definitely cater to the jet traffic as the line guy talked about how expensive fuel was and that most people go to FZY. That's probably the biggest detraction of Landmark in SYR for a longer stay is the $25 ramp fee (used to be $10) and the high fuel cost.

The customer service has really gone down at this Landmark. We landed on 12/20 and wanted a hangar for our Schweizer 300 Helicopter because of the approaching snowstorm. They quoted 250 dollars!! This is OUTRAGEOUS! (It’s smaller than a Cessna 172 and weighs less) I tried calling the General Manager to explain our situation, but you could tell by his tone that he was not interested in my views. He basically said that they make up the rates per aircraft and the availability of the hangar. So being snow season they gouging everyone on their prices. This is HORRIBLE customer service, we are constantly buying Jet fuel and hangers from them (must be the summer rate of $100 because that’s what it used to be) for our Bell 206 and MD500 helicopters, but apparently returning customers don't mean anything to this Landmark. They did end up dropping the rate to $150 from $250, but this is still high as all other airports charge $50-$100 dollars per night.

I landed at SYR enroute to my destination and needed to RON due to inclement weather. Landmark took good care of me, helping me put the cabin cover on the plane and other details like that. They were quick in providing a ride to/from a clean and inexpensive hotel. The fees were simply $25 overnight charge for a single engine piston Cessna. Reasonable, fast and friendly. I'd use 'em again.

WOW! Linda and the line crew must have spent a great deal of time in customer service training. Our stay was great. We showed up in a 170 Taildragger and were treated like we were getting off a Citation. The guys help with luggage and the rental car took about 10 minutes to get to Landmark. Service was like I have never seen. Thanks everyone at Landmark for the time. Hotel $79 Rental car $49 a day and fuel was posted.

VERY inconsistent as to whether they charge the $50 landing fee or not. It depends ENTIRELY on who's behind the front desk, not a good policy to me!! Plus, I've been charged the $50 landing fee AFTER I already bought $50 worth of expensive gas... I'll definitely be going to Exec Air in the future. They've lost my business.

Good service, they didn't charge the $50 ramp fee but did charge $15/night for tie down.

Very nice people here at Landmark but a very poor facility, nothing like most of the other Landmarks I have been too. As others have noted, very confusing ramps, and the hallway is so narrow that you cannot roll a suitcase down it. The staff tries hard to do a good job though. Also, without any notification they charged me a $50 ramp fee (even though I bought 14 gallons of gas).

We stopped at SYR for Customs and ended up staying due to inclement weather. Landmark gave us the red carpet treatment (well... Their carpets are blue/black!) and made us feel welcome. Comfortable place to wait out some weather, and the ramp staff kindly took us to and from our hotel when we ended up having to stay the night and gave us good recommendations of where to eat. When we arrived back at Landmark the next morning, the fuel price had just been dropped, and even though we'd uploaded fuel the night before, the lady at the front desk re-invoiced us with the cheaper rate. Very pleasant folks!
