Flew into Syracuse Exec Air last weekend for an overnight stay. After wonderful and friendly service, I was surprised to be charged an exorbitant amount for one night's parking of my C172 ($100! on top of the 25 gallons of fuel I purchased). While I argued with the person behind the desk, it was a Sunday and it wasn't until I called back on a weekday that a manager was able to fix the problem (and get the parking refunded). The correct price is closer to $15/night, and the person running the desk that weekend no longer works there. So I'm happy to say that I still strongly recommend Exec Air, although it was a close call!

Customs service was professional, efficient, timely, without some of the "swagger" that sometimes goes on closer to usual border stops. Hertz rental was very slow coming, next time will fax the stuff ahead and give em all day. This rental stuff is not an FBO issue. Night line crew was friendly and professional even at the late hour. I like the no run up policy, makes it very clear about how they want to look after the aircraft on their ramp.

Quick stop over visit to Executive Air for 7 hours. I called 30 miles out from the air to arrange a taxi which was waiting when we landed. Met by linewomen proptly. Escorted to our taxi. During this time my 1990 Beechcraft Bonanza was fueled and I completed the transaction before leaving. They did waive the ramp fee, only fuel charges were billed. I highly recommend Executive Air, very courteous efficient and reasonable.

$25 ramp fee just to drop off a friend that lives in Syracuse from a C172? I know they have to make money, but let the service equal the rate. I was there for just moments to let a friend off. That is NOT worth $25. If I needed fuel I would have bought some, even though it is overpriced. If I spent the night - needed a tie down - used any of their services other than the door for my friend I guess I wouldn't complain so much - but really. Places like this are going to lose GA traffic b/c of the BS and NOT make more $$. I will go out of my way to avoid SYR now and I already have KROC. I know I am a little fish - but it will add up.

Service is fine - and fuel prices have come down a bit for NY State - but for a light twin (Aztec) they require a $50 ramp fee (only there 20 minutes) or 20 gallons of fuel at $4.61. Seems a bit pricey for 20 minutes

The service at ExecAir is exemplary, just as others have written. But fuel for $6.60? Ouch.

I can't say enough positive things about Executive Air. From the moment we arrived at the front door, the hospitality was amazing; June, Mark, Jack, Bob, Paula, Dean, Candy... (I hope I didn't leave anyone out) all took very good care of us. Rob Belisario went beyond the call of duty. Thank you all for a most pleasant experience and for helping a couple California pilots get out safely in the snow!

Weekend stay 10-12 Jan 08. Paula and the rest of Exec team couldn't have been nicer. Because my rental car was not ready when I arrived, she worked a discount on the rental. Fuel prices were reasonable, and getting in and out was a breeze. We'll definitely be back.

I have been to Exec Air in Syracuse before. Once again the staff was friendly and helpful. They will waive one night's ramp fees with fuel purchase, however it looks like they raised their ramp fees to $25 per night for a single engine PA28. I think last year it was something like $10 a night. Kind of a big jump in my opinion. Fuel is about $1.00 more gallon then neighboring airports.
