Stopped by for the cheapest gas in the Bay Area -- $3.91 for 100LL on 7-12-09. Pump worked fine, and the bigger, easier-to-read self-serve instructions were appreciated. I hope the City of Tracy knows how much we Bay Area pilots appreciate the consistently low fuel prices. I come here at least once a month to fill up my bird.

Nice FBO, I had good time meeting Mona and the owner and his wife. Very friendly FBO. Thank you

This is a good place to stop for fuel, price is good and the FBO Skyview Aviation has some nice people. I recommend it to anyone.

Stopped for fuel after calling ahead to confirm available. When I arrived 1 hour later was told they had been out for a few days, "sorry about that". Stopped again a few weeks later and got fuel from the most complicated self serve system I have ever seen. Take several minutes and read the detailed instructions very closely before you try to do anything. The folks in the office hardly noticed we were there.

Response from Bruce Ludeman, Airport Coordinator, City of Tracy
Bob, I apologize for problems you had fueling at the City of Tracy's fuel island. We emphasize on AirNav that the City is the only place to call for fuel information. I can affirm that 100LL has been available without fail for the past 14+ months. If you were trying to obtain Jet Fuel, we experienced a pump failure last month. I'm sorry that our fuel system was challenging to you and presumably many others. In response, we have relabeled some buttons to simplify matters. Our fueling procedures are simple but I would welcome suggestions. The instructions direct you to: Ground aircraft - Swipe card - Select pump - Enter desired amount - Enter tail number - Press start button - Fuel aircraft. I apologize that you felt ignored while experiencing fueling difficulties. I can't see the self-serve fuel island from my desk, and my work-schedule does not allow me to be in the office all the hours the airport is open. I do however always try to answer my phone, even on weekends and evenings.

I went to Skyview Aviation's recent flying event and Tracy airport and it was fun and well organized. I would expect the website to be updated though and have more comprehensive information for aviation enthusiasts.

Because I'm apparently no good at math, I thought I had a problem with how much fuel I was charged for the other day (as in "Does my plane actually HOLD that many hundreds of dollars worth of gas!"). I had a very pleasant conversation with Bruce, the proprietor, who was prepared to bend over backwards to make things right until I discovered the error of my ways. My kind of FBO. I'll be back, and I'll bring a friend who's better at math so that Bruce can work in peace.

I visited once. Seem like nice people. I want to ask them if they have anybody there who could prop an Aeronca Champ.

From John Reiter on 05-Apr-2008
Had no problem getting gas today.

From Mel Fisk on 20-Mar-2008
Tried to buy fuel today. Could not get either 100LL pump to work. Got a guy from the FBO to try to help, but he had no luck either and said that the fuel is a city operation. He made a couple of phone calls but I didn't wait.

The new FOB Skyview Aviation is having an Open House and Fly-in on 19 Jan 2008; Tracy looks like it's headed in the right direction now.

From Fred Isaacs on 30-Dec-2007
New FBO - some recent runway & other improvements - avgas has stayed low & fuel pumps work pretty well now. Active airport association

From Howard Welte on 15-Feb-2007
Tracy Flight Center has closed shop (NO FBO). The City has taken over Fuel and lowered the price of 100LL to $3.95. Fuel / pump service is spotty as the City learns how to run an airport. With no FBO, the only service on the airport right now is Fuel. But with that said try to make Tracy Airport your Fuel stop, we need your support to make this a better airport.
