Didn't live up to the expectations created by the flashy website, just a good, small-town airport. $15 landing fee waived with fuel purchase off the truck, but might have to wait for the single lineman to complete other duties. Plan to park yourself and bring tiedowns.

We flew into TDZ for a "quick turn" on a beautiful Saturday morning, one hour after the reported opening time. No one to be found. FBO closed. Had to re-launch to fuel at TOL. Seems to be a trend at some 'reliever' airports, they are not necessarily attended during reported hours in this economy. This is odd since it is OSH week and good flying weather, but I guess cutbacks are hitting everywhere. Word to the wise: call ahead the day before to make SURE you don't have to get gas at TOL, or just plan fuel stops at 24/7 facilities. No self-serve means you are out of luck if the FBO never opens! Response from Eric E. Barnum, President, Crow Executive Air Our deepest apologies to Mr. Mueller and his family. Our line serviceman of some 10+ years was at the fuel farm topping off the truck and totally unable to leave the job at hand. He was aware of Mr. Mueller's aircraft but unable to respond before Mr. Mueller evidently needed to depart. Our facility was open but evidently not all the doors were unlocked for the day. Please stop again. We would like to earn your trust.
