About Cutter Aviation
Founded in 1928, Cutter Aviation is one of the country's oldest general aviation service companies. It has operations at six major airports in Arizona (Deer Valley and Phoenix), New Mexico (Albuquerque) and Texas (Dallas, El Paso and San Antonio). In addition to providing services to transient aircraft, Cutter sells, services and maintains business and privately owned aircraft. The company also provides charter and aircraft management services and operates a full-service travel agency. The Phoenix, Deer Valley, Albuquerque, and Dallas facilities are full-service, fixed-base operations, with El Paso providing line services for transient aircraft. San Antonio provides aircraft and parts sales as well as maintenance.

Looking Back
Continuously family-owned for seven decades, the company originated as Cutter Flying Service Inc., in Albuquerque. William P. Cutter envisioned a business that would serve the fledgling aviation community - and the resulting enterprise exceeded his expectations. The company survived the Great Depression, and, at the outbreak of World War II, became major pilot training facility for the military. In 1947, the company began its long-standing affiliation with Beech Aircraft Corporation. From the time the first Beechcraft airplane was delivered, the Cutter name became-and continues to be-synonymous with Beechcraft, a Raytheon company. In fact today, Cutter's Dallas facility is the newest authorized Raytheon service center in the Western United States.

Looking Ahead
Over the years, Cutter has maintained a position of leadership in the general aviation community by consistently expanding its services and its locations. Cutter Aviation, Inc., opened its Phoenix operation in 1959. The El Paso facility opened in 1982, Deer Valley followed in 1997, San Antonio in 1998, and Dallas in 2002. Today, a significant ramp expansion project is under way in Phoenix, where two large corporate hangars are being added. Additionally, a new facility is being constructed in El Paso and is due to be completed before year-end. What's more, Cutter closed out 2004 on a high note, booking its best year ever.

Family Values
Company President Will Cutter says Cutter's success is due, in large part, to its ongoing emphasis on the core values of Respect, Trust and Integrity. "These are key ingredients to a formula that has kept us at the forefront of the industry," Cutter notes. "They have helped us establish a reputation that we are all proud of. These values have served us well for 78 years, and without them, Cutter would be just another run-of-the-mill service station for airplanes."

I have used Cutter at Colorado Springs (COS) and Albuquerque (ABQ) and now at McKinney, always-good service. A well run FBO. Thank you!!

From Jason Tuggle on 21-May-2008
I’ve been to several FBO's and I think this one takes the cake. I flew out yesterday, and had AMAZING service. Fuel is a little high, but was expected.

My recent trip into Dallas got off to a late start and I called Cutter to advise them I would be arriving very late and please just leave my rental car for me where I could get it. I arrived at 2:30am and to my surprise saw line supervisor Jimmy Majors - wands in hand - waving me in with my rental car waiting and a warm welcome at hand. I was astonished to see someone there at that hour and felt somewhat guilty in having this gentleman out at this hour in the morning but Jimmy just loves his job...And it shows. He had been tracking my flight and wanted to make sure he was back at the airport in time to greet my late arrival. These people at Cutter are the epitome of customer service. Everyone made me feel like I was flying a G-V. I highly recommend this FBO and heap praise upon their staff. They were outstanding!!!

From Matthew Sisson on 13-Mar-2008
I can't say enough about how good Cutter was. The airport is a great place near the Dallas area to get fuel. I stopped in a Piper Warrior for a quick fuel turn. They met me at the plane to get me parked. They had it fueled within ten minutes of me being there. The facilities are great and they even had someone out there to see me off. Great place!

From Greg Larson on 25-Feb-2008
Great line & customer service, quick turnaround and a very friendly tower BUT 100LL at $5.49 a gallon makes you feel like Cutter is trying to save their ramp space for only the Jet A burners. Plenty of cheaper 100LL options within 25 miles of TKI.

From No Thanks on 02-Feb-2008
Stopped on 01-30-08 for quick fuel, and that is what we got! Also a crew car for a quick bite. Local tower could not have been any nicer... Thanks

From Jeff Snyder on 09-Jan-2008
I recently traveled to Cutter for a number of days. I took on some fuel, but was surprised when the price was different than the guaranteed price posted on AirNav ($5.09 vs. $5.49). I asked for the guaranteed price, but was told by the cashier/desk attendant that she could not match it. She did give me the fuel at $5.29, however. I was a little put off, but was very happy with the service thus far, so I happily paid. The night before we left I asked whether they had a heated hangar and was told they did. I asked for the plane to be put in it overnight. When we arrived the next morning, I found out that the only heated hangar is the maintenance hangar and our plane was put in a conventional (unheated) hangar. During this conversation, my credit card was being processed for 4 nights of ramp fees and 1 night in a hangar. To Cutter's credit, the cashier felt bad for the confusion and waived all of our ramp fees and hangar fee. I was very pleased with the gesture. Thank you.

We stopped in on 10-13 & 10-16, and had previously requested quick turns with services. On both dates, services were provided extremely quickly. Down time on both occasions were 20 minutes. The line crew was very efficient, friendly, and safe. The CSRs at the front desk were wonderful. The facilities are very nice and comfortable. This is an excellent FBO!

From Lynn Ratliff on 16-Sep-2007
Stopped in at cutter at about 9:00 PM on 9/14/2007 to pick up an airplane the next day. Was met at the ramp by two very nice linemen. There Tow was broke down but they led us to an overnight parking spot & tied down the plane. Even though we didn't need fuel they gave us a nearly new courtesy car, called a motel for us and gave us a map on how to get there and to local restaurants. Extremely nice people & very nice facilities. Recommend highly!!!

From Jim Vick on 12-Sep-2007
Stopped in on Cutter on way to South Texas and then on the way back home. A starter issue on Saturday morning of the Labor Day weekend brought out Charles of Airo Services. Did a great job identifying the issue, tracking down the part and is a pleasure to work with. The line crew and gang working the desks were very nice and helpful during our mechanical delay. Second stop in was as pleasant as the first. A bit of a wait for weather over Oklahoma, Kansas and Missouri was made better by the nice group at Cutter. Hope to have a reason to stop by again sometime soon.

From Eldon D. Chuck on 30-Jul-2007
Stopped in at Cutter and left my airplane from 7/23-29/07. Their service was excellent - I was met by two linemen when I arrived and upon leaving and they were very helpful. Laura Poynor at the desk was also very helpful and courteous. They have Enterprise onsite, but call Avis, they will drop off and pick-up if you have a wizard number which is obtained for free at the AOPA site. When going to Dallas, this is the place, Tower is helpful and you won't have to deal with the aircraft traffic.

From Frank Felts, N775DM on 23-Jun-2007
Cutter is professional service from start to finish. Friendly, competent staff. KTKI is a great airport from the runways, navaids to the great guys in the tower. Definitely a great place to stop in north Dallas. Thanks!

From Ryan Woolley on 22-Jun-2007
Line and desk staff was helpful and friendly. Thanks for an enjoyable experience!

From Jerry Stern on 10-Jun-2007
Great service.... But the GUARANTEED $4.79 a gallon was in reality $5.09...?

From Jeffrey Adler on 26-May-2007
A GREAT experience. When I arrived, they immediately brought my rental car to the plane, helped unload my bags, and made me feel like royalty. When I departed, I called ahead, my plane was brought out to the front ramp, fueled, and the line guy was cleaning the bugs off of my prop and wings. He even said that he'd clean the belly if I would give him another 30 minutes! This is a top-notch operation and I most certainly will return!!!

From Randy Lam on 21-Mar-2007
Overall a nice place to land in the Dallas area. Good service. Rental car was pulled up to plane. Had problem with Enterprise overcharging for the car, but it was corrected, but Cutter was not helpful and would not deal with Enterprise (even though Cutter handled all the paperwork). Tower was great, no problems, even set me up for Flight Following to Houston.

From Paul Fertitta on 18-Mar-2007
Once again Cutter has proven it is one of the best in the business. We came into TKI on a busy Friday evening, and still were treated with the same promptness and courtesy as the jets that were arriving. Best of all, Paul and his weekend crew were just as helpful and courteous to us on our weekend departure. This is one FBO where the service levels remain high, even when the regular weekday management is not around. Thanks to Paul and his crew.

From Howard Williams on 08-Mar-2007
Fantastic service, polite and courteous in every respect, Laura and Rachel were extremely helpful, line guys are the most helpful and polite I've experienced, this is the best place to stop in East Dallas period! Thanks Cutter Aviation. BTW, even the tower is friendly, you'd thought I was flying something other than a PA28-161.

From Sean Thornton on 06-Jan-2007
Just a little e-mail to acknowledge the fine service and personal touch to customer service that I received today at Cutter Aviation. Three line service reps greeted my A-36 and offered assistance (including a volunteer to clean my windshield). I only wish that I could expect this type of service at my home base. Atta-boy Jimmy and crew. P.S. I'll be back in the Citation next time.

From Jeffrey Osterbeck on 30-Nov-2006
Stopped by on two occasions, both have been pleasant. Nice clean facilities with room for your passengers. Even though I was in a single, the line treated me as if I were in something much larger. Fees and fuel prices are typical of this size FBO. It would be nice if the counter staff stayed a little later in the evening, but other than that, I have no complaints. We will be back.

From Terry Messing on 31-Oct-2006
We have made several business trips this month to McKinney and Cutter Aviation at McKinney has to be the top FBO in the Dallas area. Dan's crew is very professional, well trained and actually act like they enjoy seeing a customer. While re-fueling the line crew is cleaning the windshield, cleaning the bugs off of the engine cowling, even cleaning the landing gear doors of exhaust. WOW.. If a car rental is requested the car is heading for the ramp as you pull up. One trip we did not have a rental car on the schedule, was looking at calling a taxi, which would have put my business associate behind on his meeting schedule. Instead Dan let my business associate take the courtesy car to his meeting. Highly recommended. Keep up the great job!

From Charles Myers on 29-Oct-2006
We stopped in late last Tuesday night for an overnight stop. We were met by Lake on the line and Rachel at the desk. They put our plane in the hangar for the night and pulled us out the next morning fueled and ready to go. The line manager checked to make sure we were well taken care of during our stay. We were met with the same professionalism at the desk. The service is excellent and we'll definitely stop again.

From Chris Groshel on 26-Oct-2006
Stopped at Cutter for a couple nights several weeks ago. I was parked and met by Michael, a very courteous and helpful lineman. Rachel at the desk did a superb job with getting me a rental car and a good price at an Allen hotel. In my opinion, the best place to stop when headed into the northern Dallas suburbs.

From Brian Hart on 04-Oct-2006
I used to come here back when it was called WingsPoint Aviation. I was off for a while where I didn't fly into TKI but when I did start coming back it was cutter aviation. They provide all the same services, building looks exactly the same and they are always friendly. I fly in once in a while in a 310 and half the time they don't even charge me for a tie down without buying fuel and when they do its only $5.00 anyway which is way better than you will see at ADS. Great stop, VERY friendly people and I would highly recommend them! Thanks!

From Doug Becker on 03-Oct-2006
Stopped at Cutter Saturday Sept. 30th, best experience I have had in a long time. Very friendly line crew, had my windshield clean and the carpet down before we could get out of our Mooney. They pulled the rental car up to the plane and unloaded our luggage for us. Great service and made us feel welcome. We will be back.

From Bill Borchert on 19-Sep-2006
Just spent the weekend at TKI & Cutter & could not have been more pleased with the friendly attitude & outstanding service provided by Dan & his crew. I will definitely be a repeat customer. Fuel prices not out of line. Try it you'll like it!

From Jim Hazen on 12-Sep-2006
Final stop FFZ to TKI. Regional approach & TKI tower very helpful. When I pulled into Cutter, I was met by 2-Lineman who treated me like I was in a jet instead of an LSA needing only 9 gallons of 100LL. Even though there was a lot of big iron around, I was treated with incredible courtesy & service. Awesome facility, flight planning, pilot lounge with recliners and big screen TV. When I left the A/C was pulled up front, windows cleaned and a carpeted pad so I could sump my fuel without having to lie on the ramp. Linemen helped carry my bags from rental care and load in A/C. Like Arnold "I'll be back".

From John Zizelmann on 10-Sep-2006
Cutter in McKinney is a first class facility, suitable for our meeting with a business associate. They announced our arrival to him on their large screen, and Dan greeted us and advised us that our party was there to meet us. When we returned to Cutter for our departure at 1pm on a HOT August afternoon they had fully air conditioned our Piper Malibu JetProp so we got in the cool cabin and it stayed cool until we fired up the engine and turned on our air. Their portable air unit alone made the stop worthwhile.

From Kelly Grant on 17-Aug-2006
Everyone wants to help! Just a great stop. Took care of the Skyhawk when lots of heavy stuff was arriving & departing. Loaned me the car for a short errand and gave me excellent directions. If only Regional approach & departure were as accommodating...

From Patrick Voith on 29-Jul-2006
I flew into Cutter last week, and they did the best job I have seen yet. I fly all over the country doing photo work. They were very attentive and helped me with luggage and anything I asked for (including putting air in my tires and cleaning my windshield). Truly the definition of taking it to the next level. Customer service was very helpful. I would pick Cutter in McKinney over Addison any day.

From Dennis Churchill on 10-Jun-2006
Dan and his crew are awesome. First class service all the way. We fly a Lear 35 all around the country and our visit to Cutter was one best we have ever had anywhere. Highly recommended!

From Robert Johnson on 30-May-2006
I judge an FBO by the fuel price. When I find cheap fuel I do not expect a lot of amenities. When I pay a very high fuel bill then I have much higher expectations. I think Cutter at TKI probably has the worst price to amenities ratio I have ever seen! At this time avgas is $4.69 here well above the current AirNav SW region average of 3.90. The wall paper is peeling off the wall in a hot and dirty men's room; The "flight planning room" has two PC's that "content protect" and lock out every single weather web site I can think of, no scratch paper or flight plans anywhere- nothing that *works* except a phone and plenty of advertising. Its convective season, I paid over $300 to top off a *piston single* and I can't even look at Radar before I take off! I complained about the PC problem on my prior trip and this trip they are still broken. Once I can over look, twice though? Nope, I will take my money to someone who delivers at least average amenities for overly high price charged.

Response from Andy Biery General Manager, Cutter Aviation
Dear Mr. Johnson, I am sincerely sorry our remodeling inconvenienced you. We are peeling the wallpaper off the restrooms walls and replacing with stone tile, and have the air shutoff in there to prevent dust in the building. There is a sign on the door directing you to the other restroom down the hall. The computer is password protected to prevent any access to other than weather sites. The password is clearly posted on the monitor to access weather and flight planning sites. We hope you will try us again, and again apologize for the inconvenience of our improvement projects.

From Paul Fertitta on 21-May-2006
We regularly visit this airport since we have family nearby. We landed at 10:30 this evening, and the two linemen were out with the wands and welcome mats at the ready to guide us in. Not only were they friendly and efficient, they were very helpful. They helped to unload the aircraft, load the car, and even held my two year old when he asked to be picked up. I thought it couldn't get any better; then we came back for departure a couple of days later. Not only was the plane pulled up front, it was sitting in the shade of the hangar. Dan, the line manager met us and told us they had taken the "liberty" of washing the bugs off the leading edges and cleaning the windshield. Most professional, and the best service and attitude I have experienced in the last 500 hours of flying!

From Jim Juneau on 16-Apr-2006
Delivered an Angel Flight patient to Cutter Aviation at TKI. Line crew was most professional, efficient and johnny-on-the spot. They couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. Counter staff inside the facility had the same approach as the line crew. Great attitude, great service, nice facility!

From Brent Tate on 06-Apr-2006
Coast to coast, Cutter Aviation sets the standard in FBO service. Dan and his line crew, the CSR's, and everyone affiliated with Cutter is top of the line. Their service is outstanding, and the personnel are friendly and make you feel welcome. If you go to McKinney, go to Cutter Aviation to experience "the real deal" in service and professionalism.
