About Cutter Aviation Founded in 1928, Cutter Aviation is America's oldest continually family-owned FBO and aviation service company. In operation for over 80 years, Cutter Aviation operates at eight major airports in the Southwestern United States. Cutter locations in Arizona (Deer Valley and Phoenix Sky Harbor), New Mexico (Albuquerque) and Texas (Dallas Executive, McKinney, El Paso and San Antonio) and Colorado (Colorado Springs) provide a wide range of services to transient and based aircraft including fuel and FBO service, maintenance, avionics, new and pre-owned aircraft sales and charter and aircraft management.
The Phoenix, Deer Valley, Albuquerque, and Dallas Executive facilities are full-service, fixed-base operations, with El Paso, McKinney and Colorado Springs providing line services for transient aircraft. San Antonio provides new and pre-owned aircraft sales as well as maintenance.
Looking Back Continuously family-owned for eight decades, the company originated as Cutter Flying Service Inc., in Albuquerque. William P. Cutter envisioned a business that would serve the fledgling aviation community - and the resulting enterprise exceeded his expectations. The company survived the Great Depression, and, at the outbreak of World War II, became major pilot training facility for the military. In 1947, the company began its long-standing affiliation with Beech Aircraft Corporation. Since that time, the Cutter name became, and continues to be, synonymous with major and emerging aircraft brands ranging from piston singles to light and medium turbine aircraft.
Looking Ahead Over the years, Cutter has maintained a position of leadership in the general aviation community by consistently expanding its services and its locations. Cutter Aviation, Inc., opened its Phoenix operation in 1959. The El Paso facility opened in 1982, Deer Valley followed in 1997, San Antonio in 1998, Dallas in 2002, and McKinney and Colorado Springs in 2006. Cutter remains strong due to an unwavering commitment to customer service, customer and employee satisfaction, and business practices rooted in our core values of respect, trust and integrity.
Company President Will Cutter reinforces this: "These are key ingredients to a formula that has kept us at the forefront of the industry. They have helped us establish a reputation that we are all proud of. Our values have served us well for eighty years, and without them, Cutter would be just another run-of-the-mill service station for airplanes."

Great service. They took care of all my aircraft needs and this made it a great trip. I travel for work. So if I don't have to worry about the plane, it makes my job easier. Thank you Cutter!

I unexpectedly landed here at night after experiencing an inflight electrical failure. I was immediately met by a lineman who moved my airplane to the maintenance shop next door and helped me leave a message and the keys for them. He also called a taxi for me to take me to a motel. The next day I returned and Cutter let me borrow a crew car at lunchtime. Wifi is available.

We landed at TKI, and taxied the Bonanza up to the Cutter FBO. A friendlier group of folks you will never find. They allowed us to use the crew car so that we could visit our Daughter and Grand Daughter. A great place to stop, and or stop over. Great line service, CLEAN restrooms! and friendly folks at the counter. On a scale of 1 - 10 they're a solid 12. I don't gripe about the cost of 100LL --- someone needs to pay for the fine service (S) and we use the service (S). The crew car was almost brand new!!! We will be back ---

The wonderful people at Cutter made my trip to Texas perfect. Got there and Danielle greeted us with a smile, a rental car, a recommendation for a great hotel and restaurant. All which were superb. Pete the line guy took excellent care even finding me an extension cord for my Tanis heater. I would recommend them to anyone flying in to Mc Kinney. I will be back for sure!!

Arrived Dec 17th, and found a premier facility with premier service. Thought I had a problem with my C-310, but a phone call to the mx supervisor, Charles, not only had the problem solved, but he had the integrity to explain the problem and check the a/c at no charge, when he could have charged a lot of money with a bogus maintanence bill. Kudos to him, and the company that has employees of his high caliber.

I was going to stop there but trip was changed. The guys at Cutter canceled my rental car and hotels for me. They were very helpful, I will stop next time I'm in the Dallas area.

Have used Cutter/McKinney several times, a very professional bunch operating a clean, modern facility. My latest stop featured the passing of some nasty convective activity and the optional overnight hangar space at $25 for a single seemed quite reasonable. Plus, finding the old BE36 parked just outside the door when I arrived for scheduled departure made me feel like a Gulfstream driver.

Cutter has nice facilities that make a north DFW stop painless. They could use a couple more computers that print. The linemen are usually pretty prompt but the counter staff is not the swiftest when trying to wrap up invoices. Maintenance and avionics are very friendly and fast when needing any plane servicing.

If you are looking for a no frills, cheap fuel stop, this isn’t it, but it is first class, professional service. I use this FBO several times a year and I have never had a bad experience.

My recent trip into Dallas got off to a late start and I called Cutter to advise them I would be arriving very late and please just leave my rental car for me where I could get it. I arrived at 2:30am and to my surprise saw line supervisor Jimmy Majors - wands in hand - waving me in with my rental car waiting and a warm welcome at hand. I was astonished to see someone there at that hour and felt somewhat guilty in having this gentleman out at this hour in the morning but Jimmy just loves his job...And it shows. He had been tracking my flight and wanted to make sure he was back at the airport in time to greet my late arrival. These people at Cutter are the epitome of customer service. Everyone made me feel like I was flying a G-V. I highly recommend this FBO and heap praise upon their staff. They were outstanding!!!

I can't say enough about how good Cutter was. The airport is a great place near the Dallas area to get fuel. I stopped in a Piper Warrior for a quick fuel turn. They met me at the plane to get me parked. They had it fueled within ten minutes of me being there. The facilities are great and they even had someone out there to see me off. Great place!

Great line & customer service, quick turnaround and a very friendly tower BUT 100LL at $5.49 a gallon makes you feel like Cutter is trying to save their ramp space for only the Jet A burners. Plenty of cheaper 100LL options within 25 miles of TKI.

I recently traveled to Cutter for a number of days. I took on some fuel, but was surprised when the price was different than the guaranteed price posted on AirNav ($5.09 vs. $5.49). I asked for the guaranteed price, but was told by the cashier/desk attendant that she could not match it. She did give me the fuel at $5.29, however. I was a little put off, but was very happy with the service thus far, so I happily paid. The night before we left I asked whether they had a heated hangar and was told they did. I asked for the plane to be put in it overnight. When we arrived the next morning, I found out that the only heated hangar is the maintenance hangar and our plane was put in a conventional (unheated) hangar. During this conversation, my credit card was being processed for 4 nights of ramp fees and 1 night in a hangar. To Cutter's credit, the cashier felt bad for the confusion and waived all of our ramp fees and hangar fee. I was very pleased with the gesture. Thank you.

We stopped in on 10-13 & 10-16, and had previously requested quick turns with services. On both dates, services were provided extremely quickly. Down time on both occasions were 20 minutes. The line crew was very efficient, friendly, and safe. The CSRs at the front desk were wonderful. The facilities are very nice and comfortable. This is an excellent FBO!

Stopped in at cutter at about 9:00 PM on 9/14/2007 to pick up an airplane the next day. Was met at the ramp by two very nice linemen. There Tow was broke down but they led us to an overnight parking spot & tied down the plane. Even though we didn't need fuel they gave us a nearly new courtesy car, called a motel for us and gave us a map on how to get there and to local restaurants. Extremely nice people & very nice facilities. Recommend highly!!!

Stopped in on Cutter on way to South Texas and then on the way back home. A starter issue on Saturday morning of the Labor Day weekend brought out Charles of Airo Services. Did a great job identifying the issue, tracking down the part and is a pleasure to work with. The line crew and gang working the desks were very nice and helpful during our mechanical delay. Second stop in was as pleasant as the first. A bit of a wait for weather over Oklahoma, Kansas and Missouri was made better by the nice group at Cutter. Hope to have a reason to stop by again sometime soon.
