TSO is a gem; Granny’s kitchen serves up a great breakfast. Their homemade pies are tasty, if I bring my CFII here for my Bi-annual and buy him the pie, he doesn’t charge me. Will keep coming back.

Carrollton is an excellent airport for that $100 hamburger. Though at Granny’s (on the field) you will probably opt for one of their homemade specials. It's really cool watching the waitress give airport advisory in between serving up wonderful food. You may also want to take the 5-minute hike thru the woods to the Bluebird Restaurant. Open Tues - Sun from 11-4pm for lunch only. The ladies will love you for this place. Besides the fine and very affordable food, they have a museum and gift store (restored pre-civil war barn) nestled in the green woods. I'm sure this will become of your favorites if you're a local in NE Ohio.

I stopped there today and had a very nice lunch on the field and pumped some self-serve fuel. Nice airport, bring your own tie down ropes if the winds are strong. I didn't have any ropes and the wind was gusting to 25mph. I wish they were all as nice as TSO.

Stopped by today to fuel, buy oil (from Leon Lamp) and have lunch. When I arrived, First Energy's helo, N765KV, was blocking the fueling ramp. Went and bought oil & talked with Leon a while. Helo still parked. Went had (good & cheap) lunch & found the ninja suited crew inside! Eventually got gas, but had to PUSH plane outta there. THANKS First Energy!
