I would like to comment on the last customer who claims to be upset with the service at "Gorge Winds". I was one of those so-called employees at the table unfortunately I am a student not an employee. Gorge Winds is kind enough to let me study at their FBO. By the way even though I am not an employee I personally said hello to the individual. Also if you looked there was a fuel truck filling up the tanks and also you were here after hours. But good luck to you next time I have always found this FBO as a friendly and nice place to be.

I recently flew in Troutdale to take a take break during our flight to Seattle in our Columbia / Cessna 400. When we pulled up to the ramp at "Gorge Winds Aviation", there were no ramp personnel to guide us in so we took the nearest parking spot we could find. We idled the airplane for a good 5 minutes to let the turbo's cool down and we could see employees inside the building yet no one came out to see if we needed any services. Once we shut down I had to walk around the building to find a set chocks. We walked into the FBO to find the employees sitting around who did not even bother to say hello. We were interested in purchasing fuel rather than paying the higher prices of a Seattle / Boeing Field FBO but decided against it due to the serious lack of customer service. Obviously other pilots have had a different experience at this FBO but I do not recommend "Gorge Winds" due to my personal experience. I will pay extra for customer service any day.

Very nice FBO with quick and courteous service. I was fueled within minutes of arriving (Cessna 170). The facilities were also very nice (bathroom, flight planning and lounge area). I would definitely recommend this FBO to others.

Great FBO and Flight school! Service is prompt and courteous, planes are well maintained, and the instructors (the ones I've met so far) are all very knowledgeable. If you're coming to the Portland area, this is definitely the field and FBO of choice! 1
