I flew from Tampa to KTYS with a 2 AM arrival to KTYS. My passenger was impressed how they made us feel like royalty. We crashed in the pilot's lounge before going to UT's campus for the UK/UT game, and they were first-class. I consider this to be one of my favorite FBO's away from home.

We visit our cabin outside of Knoxville 4-6 times a year. Me, my wife, our 12-year-old daughter and our 6lb dog all consider TAC Air our favorite FBO and we visit many every year. Jennifer and the other line group are always so friendly and on top of things and the inside group treat us so well in our Cirrus parked next to the Gulfstream. It’s always a pleasure. :)

Very disappointing experience with any FBO let alone a TAC Air. I've never felt like I was such an inconvenience! The line folks were in no hurry to come out and show me where to park and the ladies at the counter barely acknowledged my presence when I walked up. When I asked about walking to the terminal to pick up a Budget car I was told that someone would take me over there, but 30 minutes later, it was evident that wasn't going to happen. Fortunately, there is an Enterprise counter right there and she had a car available. It was, however, smaller, more expensive, and came with a mileage restriction, but at least I wouldn't have to rely on TAC Air to come get me when I returned.

Stuck in TYS with family and 4 kids due to weather at home. Great FBO staff, made hotel reservations (Hampton Inn close by for $64 with breakfast). Gave advice about transportation, offered crew car. Prices a little steep, but great service!

Stopped by when diverted due to wx, filled up at the self-serve with the lowest prices in the area. Parked at the FBO and they loaned us a car with 8000 miles, complete with new-car smell! We drove across the four-lane to a Ruby Tuesdays for an excellent steak and back in the air in short order. Wonderful experience. We were surprised that a Charlie airspace airport was so easy to deal with.

I called ahead the day before to advise TACAIR that my two pastors and I would be arriving for a funeral in Rockville in order to see if they could transport us. They said that they could, and they delivered! Samantha (pretty girl at the desk) drove us, and she was awesome. My two pastors were impressed by the customer service and the way that they made us feel like royalty. It was a great experience, and everything worked like clockwork. They also had great cookies. I would love to come back...

Stopped in for a quick turn on my way home from Teterboro. The crew at TAC Air did a fine job with the turn-around, but the prices were high--- about .20 per gallon higher than Teterboro! Not the sort of price I would expect in Knoxville, Tenn.

Flew in on 5/12/10 around 9pm. Went to TAC Air's ramp in a C-172 and there were NO line personnel to be found. After taxiing towards the door and sitting for a moment nobody came outside. We then parked along the back of their ramp and carried our luggage and heavy photo equipment the long distance to the FBO. When we entered 5 line guys and 2 desk girls were sitting inside watching a mixed martial arts fight on TV. When the hotel shuttle brought us back in the morning we found our plane topped off as requested but in the same place on the back of the ramp neither tied down nor even chocked. We travel to many FBO's around the country doing photo work and have never encountered such a low regard for a customer. No matter what the size of aircraft.

Stopped in TYS as an intermediate point from Richmond to Little Rock. TAC Air offers both FS and SS fuel, with SS at a good savings. And they provide the use of the FBO facilities whether SS or FS fuel is chosen. They let me use a courtesy car to get dinner, and when I decided that wx in LIT was too bad to go they got me a room at HI Express, and arranged for the hotel shuttle to pick me up at the airport. First class service all around - front desk, line staff, and they don't charge outrageous fuel prices. I'll stop there again.

Excellent service! I had a couple of minor maintenance issues and when a borrowed pair of pliers wouldn't do the job they helped me get in touch with HORIZON AVIONICS who made a quick repair (FOR FREE!). A lineman let me know that I could save 80 cents a gallon by self serve fueling. The next morning they were very busy. At 24 degrees and I needed to preheat my engines so they towed me over to where I could plug in. I mentioned to the lineman that I had a new door seal and might need his help to latch the door. He came over to the self serve pump to make sure I got the door closed. Even though they were clearly very busy I always felt like they were anxious to meet my needs every bit as much as any of their other customers. They were always polite, friendly and helpful. They have certainly earned my loyalty and I'll be going to TAC Air at their other locations.

In and out today with our Turbo Commander N900NE and had the 'best of' everything. Thanks folks. Well done.

Flew in on September 17, late at night around midnight. Excellent service. They made time for my wife and I in our Mooney. They even held a rental car for us when we found out at last minute that budget messed up with ours at the Downtown Airport. This was a great place to stop. Thanks.

I've been here several times and have never had less than excellent service. I am usually flying a Saratoga but they treat me as if I had come in on a G5. Always friendly, always helpful, because of this FBO, I search out the other TAC Air sites at other airports.

Flew into Knoxville last Saturday (5 Sep) for the football game. Was late arriving because of weather at our departure point. Was meet at the plane by 3 individuals who helped us unload our bags, get our rental car, and even loaded everything into the car. Awesome job TAC AIR...We will definitely be back!

We landed in Knoxville after a long flight from Chicago. We had diverted due to weather and were in a hurry to beat the weather to our final destination. A couple of twins and a jet or two on the tarmac and we still got first class service. We did not realize that they had SS, so we went with FS and paid a little bit more, but, was well worth the delta. The line crew was very attentive, the counter group as focused and we were turned around in no time. All in all a nice facility with good people.
