Flew in my C-172 about 6 pm, nice lady on the Unicom gave winds and parking instruction. They weren't busy so I could park very near the pedestrian gate. Walked to Murph's for dinner, left the airport by 8pm. Clean restrooms, friendly help, no problems.

Flew in today (C172) in the 110 degree heat. Convenient airport to La Quinta/Indio (more so than Thermal). Staff very friendly, gave direction on UNICOM on where to park. $5 tie down fee, paid up front and did not experience the deflated tire routine. Keep in mind that there is no ATIS/ASOS.

If they were in fact deflating tires, I would urge you to call the Riverside FSDO at 951-276-6701 and let them know. This is obviously an unsafe practice.

On arrival was directed on Unicom to park on the West end of the ramp. Very tight quarters. Had to do own tie down with poor equip. Had to drag my entire luggage a LONG way to the FBO office. Once there they were very helpful with arranging cab. On day of departure six days later found front tire flat with no hole. Numerous other aircraft in same situation. The lineman indicated that it is the FBO's practice to let air out of tires to prevent people from leaving without paying tie down fee. What a bunch of crap!!!! I had registered on arrival and there was never any dispute about charges. Never again!!

Landed at Bermuda Dunes for an overnight stay. The airport was busy and transient parking was limited to an area behind the T-hangars. No tie downs were available. The people were friendly and the service was generally good. Fuel was expensive at $5.47/gal and there is a $10 overnight fee.

Visited Grandpa and Grandma this weekend. 1/27 -28. Airport is easily accessible from the Indio and La Quinta areas and all parts east of downtown. Is quite difficult to find parking at peak times, be prepared to hunt and peck, although it might not always be this way. Called 30 minutes prior to departure for fuel and plane was ready to go when we got there. Good service although you can save some money at Thermal with fuel purchase. Was still charged landing fee and an overnight charge even with a moderate fuel purchase. Must weigh convenience with price when deciding to land here.

Visited Bermuda Dunes for the first time on 10-Jan-07. The folks at the terminal office were very helpful and answered my myriad of questions without being annoyed. Murph's Restaurant had great food. Fuel prices were HIGH! With 100LL at 5.47/gal (OUCH!) We'll be back in Feb for the Date Festival.

Nice airport and good line staff. The lady tending the Unicom needs a lesson in manners and also thinks she is ATC. Tough to make position reports and keep an eye on King Airs, Challengers, Astras etc (I’m a little guy) when she is dominating the freq with lots of unnecessary BS. Otherwise nice facility and line staff with good service.

$5 Landing fee if you don't spend the night, otherwise $10/night fee.

Airport is nice, but needs some work. An AWOS would be nice; one of the windsocks was all tangled up. $10 a night for a 172 tie down, the tie downs were loose and stretched out. The lady behind the desk was nice, gave us some bottles of water since it was 111 outside at 17:30. Fuel was a total rip; go down the valley to KTRM for 3.99 gas.

From Ed Wischmeyer on 04-May-2006
Woman behind the desk was too busy with her personal phone call en espanol to help us. Right after we got fuel, they asked to us push our plane out of the way because a turboprop was coming in. And the gas was $1.50 more than at my home field. Hard to give this place much of a recommendation.

Friendly, courteous service made me feel welcome. They treat everyone very well whether you fly a Citation X like I do (in my dreams) or a homebuilt Long-EZ (like I do). The close-in convenient location without the hassle of Palm Springs International is worth the $10 landing fee.
