Landed with a King Air and had about a 4 hour wait while the passengers conducted their business. Very good service and adequate facilities. Upstairs they had snooze rooms and a shower. They also had a crew car we used to get breakfast. Not fancy, but clean, functional, and more relaxing than the facilities at PSP. Only problem was finding the airport!

Prices for fuel, landing and parking are high at this small field when you can get more for less money at nearby PSP. They don't provide much in the way of service and the facility is pretty basic.

Great facility and good people! Charges are a little high considering PSP is about the same ramp fees with lower fuel costs. This airport would probably benefit better and be more reasonable to the public if they were receiving FAA funding!

Update!! I was there yesterday and Bermuda Dunes now requires a $15 landing fee every time you land. I was only picking up a passenger and then leaving within a few minutes. Bermuda Dunes has the highest fuel costs in the area, and with the new landing fee it is a place to avoid unless you have deep pockets. Go to KTRM instead not very far away and much cheaper. It also has better runways and FBO's.

Took some friends to have lunch at Murph's Gaslight Restaurant. It was Monday and they were closed (should've called). Barbara, the lady at the desk recommended an alternate place for lunch (Casey's about 2 mi away..Great Food!) And loaned us a crew car. She even waived the landing fee. Good customer service.

Flew in Sat night (12/6) and left Mon morning (12/8). Paid $10 per night. We requested a taxi while we're in final and taxi was waiting for us by the time we walked up to the office. Very nice people at the office. Taxi fare was $25 to La Quinta Resort. Next time, we want to try Murphy's famous Fried Chicken!

Flew in my C-172 about 6 pm, nice lady on the Unicom gave winds and parking instruction. They weren't busy so I could park very near the pedestrian gate. Walked to Murph's for dinner, left the airport by 8pm. Clean restrooms, friendly help, no problems.

Flew in today (C172) in the 110 degree heat. Convenient airport to La Quinta/Indio (more so than Thermal). Staff very friendly, gave direction on UNICOM on where to park. $5 tie down fee, paid up front and did not experience the deflated tire routine. Keep in mind that there is no ATIS/ASOS.

From Jon Nevin on 03-Jul-2007
If they were in fact deflating tires, I would urge you to call the Riverside FSDO at 951-276-6701 and let them know. This is obviously an unsafe practice.

On arrival was directed on Unicom to park on the West end of the ramp. Very tight quarters. Had to do own tie down with poor equip. Had to drag my entire luggage a LONG way to the FBO office. Once there they were very helpful with arranging cab. On day of departure six days later found front tire flat with no hole. Numerous other aircraft in same situation. The lineman indicated that it is the FBO's practice to let air out of tires to prevent people from leaving without paying tie down fee. What a bunch of crap!!!! I had registered on arrival and there was never any dispute about charges. Never again!!

Landed at Bermuda Dunes for an overnight stay. The airport was busy and transient parking was limited to an area behind the T-hangars. No tie downs were available. The people were friendly and the service was generally good. Fuel was expensive at $5.47/gal and there is a $10 overnight fee.

Visited Grandpa and Grandma this weekend. 1/27 -28. Airport is easily accessible from the Indio and La Quinta areas and all parts east of downtown. Is quite difficult to find parking at peak times, be prepared to hunt and peck, although it might not always be this way. Called 30 minutes prior to departure for fuel and plane was ready to go when we got there. Good service although you can save some money at Thermal with fuel purchase. Was still charged landing fee and an overnight charge even with a moderate fuel purchase. Must weigh convenience with price when deciding to land here.

Visited Bermuda Dunes for the first time on 10-Jan-07. The folks at the terminal office were very helpful and answered my myriad of questions without being annoyed. Murph's Restaurant had great food. Fuel prices were HIGH! With 100LL at 5.47/gal (OUCH!) We'll be back in Feb for the Date Festival.

Nice airport and good line staff. The lady tending the Unicom needs a lesson in manners and also thinks she is ATC. Tough to make position reports and keep an eye on King Airs, Challengers, Astras etc (I’m a little guy) when she is dominating the freq with lots of unnecessary BS. Otherwise nice facility and line staff with good service.
