For a 3-day stay at Atlantic, 9/24/-9/27/17, there is a Security Fee of $15.00. Which is not required by the UES Airport Authority, because the Airport is secured. There is a $20.00 Facility fee, (which one would think would include the "security fee"), and tie down is $10.00/night, not unreasonable. But the cost of a 3-day stay at Atlantic cost $66.53!!

I just stopped in May 27 2017 for a couple hours to see the Gathering of Warbirds. Ramp attendants waved me in and chocked up the airplane. There's a $20 ramp fee waived with purchase of 15 gal, so that's what I did. The staff was friendly, nice facility :)

Flew in a Diamond Star DA40. Line staff attentive - marshaled in and removed chocks prior to departure. Unfortunately, my short flight was only able to take 6 gallons out of the tanks, so I was unable to uplift the minimum 15 gallons to avoid the $20 facility fee for 3 hours of parking.

I have been in to Atlantic a few times and the service is second to none, always met at the plane and rental car brought to the plane before we could deplane, these folks have it figured out, simply the best!

Great service and nice facility. I made a reservation in advance and they got me a rental car and drove it out to the plane when I arrived. The staff was helpful and friendly. Highly recommended!

I was in to Atlantic, Waukesha on April 13th, 2015 in a Diamond DA-42 Twin Star. I immediately ordered a top-off, which amounted to only 19 gallons since I was full leaving MN. I was informed by the nice CSR that they would not be able to waive the $60 handling fee due to the fact that I did not purchase the required 30-gallon minimum. So I in effect paid $8/gallon simply because I could not take any more fuel! I should have just had them pump 11 gallons on to the ramp and would have then saved money... Way to kick the little guys Atlantic. It's crap like this that is hurting the future of general aviation. I will only return to this FBO if given no other choice by a customer.

Response from Ray Dalman, General Manager, Atlantic Aviation
Occasionally, as in the case of your recent visit, we find that certain aircraft types are falling into the wrong categories, regardless of how hard we strive to have fair pricing structures. After careful review, and considering the unique fuel efficiency of your aircraft we have determined that your fuel uplift should have been sufficient to waive the fee. We are currently working to make the appropriate changes to the pricing structure for aircraft of similar size and capacities as yours so your feedback is appreciated and very important to us. We have tried to contact you to issue a credit for the fee. I can assure you, we understand your category of aircraft is very important to the aviation industry and we would not want to have negative impact on your operations.

I typically try to avoid Atlantic Aviation locations anytime I have the option because they are generally the most expensive place you can go and also generally not the nicest places you can go (read, low value). Well... Today really surprised me and set a whole new level of disgust with Atlantic! First of all, let me say that the staff that I met there were VERY nice and I have no complaints with them, but the facility is nothing special and reminded me of a small airport commercial terminal from the 1970's and they wanted a $150 handling fee for a Piper Meridian!!! What??? That is an all new high that I have NEVER seen anywhere else, not in Chicago, not in New York, not in Miami, not even in L.A.! So, why on earth is Atlantic charging such a ridiculous charge??? Well, I suspect it is because they are the only FBO on the field and they know they can take advantage of us pilots. It is disgusting and I will not be back.

Response from Ray Dalman, General Manager, Atlantic Aviation
While Atlantic Aviation has found it necessary to charge a facility fee, any customer can waive the fee with a modest fuel purchase. In the case of the Piper Meridian, the minimum uplift was 55 gallons at the time of your visit. After reviewing the Meridian fuel capacity, we found that the required minimum was inadvertently set higher than we desire. In response, we have lowered the minimum fuel purchase to 35 gallons for all future visits. We are very diligent in our efforts to keep a fair balance of return for the Customer, Employee, and Company. It is in this mindset of fairness that we adhere to the same pricing structure whether or not we are the only operator on the field. Atlantic has made significant investments in our employees, training, and facilities so that our customers realize a premium experience, and continue these efforts with upcoming facility upgrades.
