VDI is one of best small town airports I fly into. Kevin just will not let you serve yourself! Your aircraft couldn't be in better hands when you leave it in his care. Good approaches (ILS and RNAV LPV), great folks, and world famous onions!

Got stuck down at VDI on the way to Sun n Fun 2011. Kevin Billy and Piston (airport cat) were the best. If there is a better FBO or group of guys in this country I want to meet them because I don't believe it. A must stop

Stopped for fuel on the way to Gatlinburg (GKT) from Jacksonville (HEG). The place is easy to get into and out of. The people super friendly and the place is very clean. I liked it so much I stopped there on my way home too.

Kevin Britton who runs VDI and his crew there are just the best. Flew up to watch the Angels practice, and bought a whopping 11 gallons of gas to top off. Kevin let me use the courtesy car to run into town for lunch (and the TUMI factory store). After the Angels' practice and just as the airport was reopening, there was an incident that required the only open runway be closed for a period. There was much hubbub! And we had a dead battery requiring a power cart. Kevin put me in the que and had us running and ready to depart within minutes after the runway was available! If you need, gas, onions or luggage stop in! They are just the best folks you're going to find. Oh the terminal is first rate. I have actually used the conference room there for business meetings!

I just called and spoke with the airport. Prices listed on AirNav.Com for (100LL) are for ASSISTED SELF SERVICE...And I wanted to know what the regular UNASSISTED S/S price was and was told there was no such thing. S/S is the only thing available and it's ALWAYS Assisted...! Price for 100LL is $4.25/gallon regardless of wording.

Flew in for a two-night stay for some golf. Kevin set me up with a rental for $29 a night. Vidalia Inn is a nice place and cheap. I needed that as when I left two days later he smacked me with a tie down fee. Nowhere is it posted about tie down fee nor did he say anything about it until I was leaving. Well at least the onions are good.

Onions are not the only sweet thing in Vidalia. Stopped here on our trip up North from Florida. First class service for a little C172, including overnight crew car and recommendations for a great place to stay the night. It will be a regular stop on our semi annual trips from NY to Fla. Try it, Kevin will treat you right.

I stopped here for overnight on a trip back home from Florida. Very nice facility, available even when not open (call ahead for the code to the door). I used a crew car to get to my hotel for overnight. Weather computer and WiFi for yours. Thanks

We came in yesterday to Vidalia to see a high school regional basketball game at Brewton Parker College. What a nice facility, great service, the young man that was working the desk was very helpful. Fuel was cheap $3.69, had the plane fueled before our ride arrived. Only one little glitch, we were departing about 7:30 and the FBO was closed, our friends drove us out to the plane and we preflighted got in and started to taxi out. My son noticed our friends were still inside the gate, it had shut behind them and they were trapped. Luckily a police officer arrived and called someone out to open the gate. We departed knowing the police would take care of them. Otherwise great experience, would stop again.
