Have been to Venice many times and the staff (both line men and office personal) are superb. Just a 182, but always treated royally. And the Suncoast restaurant in the FBO is fantastic! The people are very friendly and the food is fabulous. If you want a good day trip, a short cab ride brings you in to a very nice town. All in all, Venice is a real winner.

Use VNC at least two or three times a month. FBO is always friendly and helpful. No ramp fee to use the cafe or if you buy fuel. Food in cafe is very good with friendly staff and reasonable prices. Menu has some specials you don't usually see at airport rest. Which are very good.

Venice is always a great day trip. My wife, I and another couple flew over New Years Eve to have lunch at Sharkeys, who provides a free shuttle for just tips. The food was excellent and we scored a table right on the beach. Suncoast is a nice FBO with good price on self-service fuel...No ramp fee if you buy fuel. I'll be back to try the food at the Cafe in the FBO.

Sun Coast Cafe is excellent. Fuel prices are competitive and the airport has two good instrument approaches to 13 - 31 the primary runway. Exercise caution on 4 - 22.

Very good food at the Sun Coast Cafe at the FBO. Liked the Cuban influence. Had the Crabcake on a Portobello mushroom. Excellent! Cheapest fuel as quoted by AirNav was SS under the Texaco sign at the west end of the ramp at the Florida Flight Training Center. Overall very positive experience. Keep your head on a swivel, as it is a busy little airport, including numerous small corporate jets.

This FBO revised its recent ramp fee. It is waived for BOTH airport restaurants, the Cafe and Honoluana, but not for those visiting off airport sites such as Sharkey's.

Beautiful facility. Line service and desk folks were very friendly. Offered to match Enterprise rates with Hertz when Enterprise misplaced reservation. Self-fuel prices were best around. Only complaint was self fuel ground wire was unusable and nozzle leaked.

Have flown to VNC several times. Family live in Venice. FBO nice with pleasant folks. However, airport is not the safest. Have had to execute unintended go arounds numerous times do to small aircraft incursion on my final approach. Comm and pattern discipline poor. Caution to high performance pilots. Runways need resurface, too. Just a heads up. Golden Eagle 421 driver.

The new ramp fee is waived for purchase of fuel from the FBO or patronizing the Suncoast Cafe, which is run by the FBO. Eating at the Honoluana restaurant does not avoid the charge. But saying that you intend to buy fuel at the self-serve pump does.

This FBO just started a $10 'day use fee' which I just got hit with. Now I'm boycotting Venice and any other airport that tries this tact. I used to buy gas there occasionally but I'll take my business elsewhere now.

Wow! Talk about customer service. Had to fly into Venice on business. Called in the AM to ask about transportation. Was told rental cars are available off airport and asked my tail number. Said "Great, see you around 12:30. Called on freq 15nm north and requested wind and runway info. Got immediate response and then..."still need that rental car?" Said, "Yes." Upon landing was assisted with parking and all my supplies were loaded on their cart and taken to the terminal. Once inside, offered a bottle of ice-cold water and introduced to Mike, the AVIS rep who was waiting with my car, a full-sized luxury model for a great rate. Looking forward to returning with my wife to visit the local restaurants and do some shopping. I'm a new pilot with limited experience and this was my first "trip" besides my required cross-countries during training. I have to believe that Suncoast is an exception. If it's the rule, I've picked a great new hobby!!! Sincerely.

I flew into Venice for pleasure on 07/10/10. Upon arrival to Suncoast I was not met by the lineman but Joanne (inside )was a great help. She provided me with great service and answered all of my questions. Joanne stopped what she was doing and gave me her full attention. I will be back and will use Suncoast again.

Talk about great treatment! We landed in a Beechjet for a few hours. They were so prompt with fuel and has us on our way in no time! We even got a coupon to eat at the in-house (and yummy) restaurant. Wonderful service, caring staff...We will be back! Thank you!

Nice FBO. Be aware that their fuel sign is not posted, but they have the cheapest fuel on the field. The pump is just east of the terminal. The large self serve fuel on the west side that can be seen from the ramp is MUCH more expensive, as it is run by the flight school. Also the overnight ramp fee is waived if you buy from Suncoast. Great breakfast cafe at terminal and there is bus transport across the street for 75 cents to take you to town. Bus 16 and 13. Great place to stay is Venice Beach Villas on Venice Ave. Free bikes to get around and super pool.

These folks are great! The lineman who parked me immediately offered an ice-cold water bottle from a cooler on his golf cart. Nice touch in a hot climate! The fueling and billing was accurate and efficient, and a ride was quickly dispatched to run me and my luggage down the flight line on departure day. I wish more FBO's operated this way.

We use VNC 2-4 times per month, new FBO operator appears to be on right track to improve service from previous regime. There is a real problem with flight training operations at this airport. We have had several close calls due to lack of courtesy, lack of training and most recently stupidity with a c-172. If this FBO wants to build business with larger aircraft then they need to start with monitoring training operations. I would be more than happy to make formal complaint against aircraft that used active runway for taxiway.

Flew in to VNC on 3/20/10 for dinner at Sharky's. Called Suncoast Air on 131.3 once I was on the ground and the line guy led me to a parking spot and chocked the front wheel. The folks at Suncoast could not have been friendlier or more helpful. Highly recommended.

Line guy Johnny on the spot, after shut down asked where SS pumps were, as there was no visible signs of them from their ramp area. He pointed to an area about 500 yds out in the middle of nowhere, so started up again for an XC taxi to pumps. Perhaps they think 100 LL is toxic to people want it far far away. Good news was, great price, and high speed pumps. Surprised, their little restaurant was only open till 2:00pm on a Saturday afternoon. Try it the next time, a great refueling stop.

Great place to stop off, Suncoast were very welcoming and had great facilities in what looked like a brand new building. They directed me to parking and greeted me in the door.
