Flew in on 06/13/08 and mistakenly parked at Sun Aviation instead of the GA ramp next to the airport restaurant (CJ Cannon's). Line personnel were extremely friendly and helpful. Facility was very clean inside, and could tell that it was relatively new. Thanks for the great service once again, and I wish you all the very best!

Had work performed which included my left fuel tank pulled, hoses replaced, and gear worked on (in August '07 at Sun Aviation (see other post)). I now have hydraulic fluid leaking from that brake and fuel leaking from that tank. So again, beware of having your plane worked on here.

Planned on having a SB performed on both main gears. I planned 2 months out to fly down and leave the plane for 4 days. After confirming TWICE our ETA (3 days before and that very morning), we were told that they wouldn't be able to get all the work done in our allotted time due to MY tardiness. The phone receptionist told this to me because all the managers had already left (I arrived at ~4:30EDT). The day before we are to leave, I CALL THEM, and find out that I have a cracked wing rib (had the plane and gear inspected and annualed 5/5/07--this was 8/1/07) and a big chance the wing spar was cracked. Needless to say, had to rearrange and spend a mountain of money to just get home. After countless calls, and varies stories, I picked my plane up over a month later with a bill over $7000. Of course, when I flew back to pick up my plane, there was no one there that had worked on my plane to talk to about the repairs. Very disappointing...Still worried about their wing repair.

Stopped in as my alternate due to weather and found Jet Center to be most prompt in filling my light twin Cessna, gave AOPA fuel discount, even took us to the mall to wait out the bad weather at the movies. Will come back again.

Had some work done on the field and decided to move my aircraft to Sun for an early departure. I needed fuel and had heard I would get a night's tie down with a fuel purchase. The fuel was expensive but I work at an FBO and we offer a night's tie down with a purchase so I figured I support the business. I parked, push my aircraft into a spot, and tied it down. I saw the fuel truck three aircraft away. I waved my arms and called out but they didn’t' respond and returned to the FBO. I went into the FBO and could see the linemen in their area. They wouldn't acknowledge me. The CSR was hidden behind the desk and didn't see me either. After 5-6 minutes I finally got their attention. I registered my aircraft and ordered fuel. Then I found out the free nights parking was only for a two-night stay and charged for the first night even with a fuel purchase. I work at an FBO and I wouldn't expect a customer to return if our folks treated them like that. And I won't either.

Not only do they have the most expensive fuel on the field ($4.43), but they also charged me $40 per night for parking!! Even though I bought 106 gallons they didn't wave one night. I fly into many big airports, but have never even paid half this amount for parking. BEWARE!!

Note someone posted the SS price incorrectly. Sun gives a $0.50 (yes, fifty cents) discount for Shell cards only. So the normal price of $4.14 should be posted, and the Shell card price should be noted as $3.64.

Very nice people, always attend right away. They have easy and cheap SS 100LL prices. Been there a dozen times and cant leave without eating next door, perfect easy setup. I'd recommend this FBO to anyone flying into Vero

I arrived late at VRB (8 PM). The lineman saw us coming and waved us out to the back 40 with the rest of the singles (why does every FBO I've visited in Florida want to park us a 20 minute walk from their building?). Ignoring the lineman, I parked right up front--it's much easier moving my wife, 2 small kids (21 months and 4 years) and assorted luggage a short distance. Inside the FBO, I searched high and low for a decent place to change my younger son's diaper. Finding none, I used the only carpeted piece of floor space around: in the center of their lobby. They could really use a changing station somewhere in the building. The bright spot was that the lineman did point out the difference between their truck and self-serve fuel prices ($1.20!). All-in-all, on my next visit to VRB, I'll try another FBO to see if they are more friendly to small singles and families.

I really can't say anything positive about Sun Aviation. I had a bad starter and they gladly ordered a replacement and charged almost $1200 for just the starter! After they told me they had received the starter, they said they would not be able to put it on until later that afternoon. I asked if I could put it on myself on their ramp and they said no. I called Corporate Air on the other end of the field and they gladly towed my plane (C-310) down to their shop and installed the new starter in less than 5 minutes. Corp Air said they get a lot of business from Sun Aviation because of how Sun treats their customers. I can clearly see why. Stay away from Sun unless you enjoy having a run around when it comes to unplanned MX.
