Even though operated by the same folks that operate the FBO @ ABE (City or County ... I forget which), there is a WORLD of difference between the two. The personnel working XLL are friendly, helpful and work hard to meet your needs with what they have. Not the biggest or fanciest FBO, but what they lack in amenities, they more than make up for it in service and personality. If at all possible, use XLL vs. ABE.

Stopped in for the fly-in breakfast on 10/2/10. Folks were friendly and it is nice to see the public invited out to see what the airport is all about. Facilities are nice and the staff did a good job of hosting. Would return again.

Nice people, directed me to parking on arrival, offered to help passengers. Fuel prices are good. There is no sleep room, pilots’ lounge, and wi-fi or crew car. Runway is in good condition. There are restaurants within walking distance. Nice alternative to the crazy fees at ABE

Flew in to XLL after trying to get home from FL to NH for four days while a huge wx system sat over NE. The people at Lehigh Valley Aviation couldn't have been nicer. Finding a hotel and driving us there was nothing out of the ordinary, but the cheerful approach and willingness to help was extraordinary. The line guy even tied down my plane in a couple of inches of slush in the one remaining tie down and then shoveled it out. I've crossed the country a dozen times in my Tiger and other small equipment, and these folks take the prize for friendly courteous service.

I fly my decidedly blue collar 1979 Cherokee to a LOT of airports big and small. I've seen all kinds of customer service. This place stands out, in a good way. On my latest visit, I was swarmed by polite line personnel, one of whom immediately fueled my plane while another schlepped my bags in the truck. Combine that with the improved runway/taxiway, ASOS, etc. -- this place is a winner.

What can I say XLL is getting better and better.. Their latest improvement was a state of the art new runway, surface night lights everywhere, hi-lighted taxiways and so on... FBO performing as professional as they can be. (Hungry???) There is a Diner right down the block as you exit the airport. All I’ll say is Queen City is a good place to stop you won’t be disappointed.

Runway 7-25 is now improved, resurfaced, and repainted. It couldn't be better.

We flew into Queen City in our 177 on 8/1/2009 and the line service couldn't have been better. We had three Bassett Hounds (yes they were a bit smelly) that we were hauling from Columbus, OH for my sister-in-law who is involved with shelters and they had homes in Allentown. They helped us with the dogs, put them in an office while we waited for the pickup and took me to get something to eat at a nearby fast food place. No fees and I didn't need fuel, great service and a very friendly line staff. Highly recommended.

Queen City was very accommodating to the Snoopy One Airship during our stay for the LPGA Open Championship. Larry and Tom, the airport managers, tended to all our unique needs for an airship. I would be happy to return to Queen City Airport for any future events that require our airship to be in the Allentown, Bethlehem area.
