I flew out to Borrego after dark on May 1 only to find the self-serve pump out of service. Also, the pilot controlled lighting needs to be looked at. One has to be close to the airport to get the lights activated. There is a blind spot at the run-up and approach end of runway 26 while on the ground and trying to turn on the runway lights. It seems that the self-serve pump is frequently not able to function as a self-serve pump. There was a phone number on the pump for emergency service if one really needs fuel. After three attempts over the last year to purchase fuel after hours, I have not had any success purchasing fuel. Is there anyone who can keep the pump working?

We get over to Borrego at least once a month. Have had pretty much everything on the menu. No bad choices here! Prices and friendliness can't be beat. Where else can you eat great food and maybe get lucky and watch some aerobatic work from the comfort of your own sundeck??!!

Visited on Oct 17th...very well taken care of by the staff. Good secure airport and great time at the borrego Ranch. They will pick you up.
