Restaurant on the field closed until September!!! Just called the airport!

First visit. Called 10 minutes out and ride to Casa del Zorro for Sunday brunch was waiting. Casa del Zorro under new management but great ambiance, service and food.

Friendly and helpful airport management. Ristorante is closed on Tuesday, Open all other days for lunch and dinner but only open for breakfast Friday, Sat, and Sun.

The steak house has been replaced with a new Italian place. 7am to 9pm except Wednesday.

First time trip--Viki Cole, airport manager, said Crosswinds Steakhouse on field is closed due to the death of one of the partners. Friendly, quiet, scenic place. Stayed at Palm Canyon Resort--serviceable, nothing fancy; restaurant closed when I was there. Friendly people.

Borrego is a nice airport. First time there and wanted to see the area. The FBO is very nice and friendly. The steak house is only open on the weekends, but the FBO does provide a car service into town weekdays for lunch. I'll make sure I drop in again soon.

First time to airport and it was a gorgeous clear day. Airport is small but very clean and maintained well. Transient parking is directly in front of the Crosswinds Steakhouse on field. Had lunch and food was good and service was excellent. If the weather is right a great place to fly to.
