Mile High Cafe really was a great stop today for the food and hospitality. It appears that a recent addition is an independently run lounge/bar located above the restaurant. It had a bright interior with a pool table, TV screens, and views of the runway and apron. The friendly bartender told me the hours are 2-9pm daily Sunday 11am-7pm.

Flew into Hesperia for the first time today. Mile High Cafe was great; the food was delicious and reasonable and the staff was friendly. Best Fuel prices around...Filled up our tanks.

A+ ... Best fly-in food joint in the high desert.... My favorite breakfast place this side of the pond. Don't forget to top off your wings as well.... Lowest fuel prices around.

This cafe and airport are worth a stop if you're in the area and need food and/or fuel. The Mile High Cafe is great with daily specials and a wide menu selection. Best chicken tortilla soup I've had, and the burgers are huge. Low priced fuel too!!

Stopped here in August on a trip to So Cal. The food and service in the restaurant were great. Fuel prices were as advertised (by far the lowest anywhere we have seen in California!). This is a great place to stop!

Took the family there this morning for breakfast can't say anymore than has already been said about the food. Runway is in better condition than expected I felt the taxiways were a little thin but they work. I made an rwy 3 departure because the wind was 15 knots + this requires a steep right hand turnout to avoid the town ahead. I am going to make this a regular stop. Didn't get gas so I can't confirm the price.

Stopped in for fuel and lunch today (6/22/2006). Food and service were great, fuel prices cheapest on this trip.

Excellent food, great service, friendly people, great aviation items on the wall, t-shirts, weather is always good too. Hesperia is a gem of an airport, many recent airport improvements. Gotta stop in.

Breakfast is great and the staff makes you feel welcome. It's nice to see this restaurant open again. The surroundings also have been cleaned up somewhat and fuel prices are good.

I've eaten breakfast at Mile High Cafe twice, and each time the food and service was great. The staff are friendly and I can honestly say that the food worth making a special trip for.

WOW!!! The food here is fantastic. Great portions, all homemade and very reasonably priced!! Had a mushroom swiss burger with a hand made patty cooked to order, (had to be 1/3lb. or greater) fresh cut french fries (not frozen) and homemade minestrone soup for under $6. No wonder this place is starting to fill up, especially on weekends. Keep it up Hesperia!!!!

I've only had breakfast here but it's always been good. The salsa is home made and the portions are large. There are always several breakfast specials. Seating is available inside or outside and you are so close to the runway you smell the 100LL. Good stop and the fuel is cheap too!
