Nice County Airport. Has some of the lowest 100LL prices in the area. No longer has Mo-Gas. Managers office not open late hours, but the FBO "Dave" is very helpful.

Visited on a long cross-country from PYM en route to IAG. 300 miles from home and these people welcomed my friend and I as close friends. We stopped back again on the way home and had a great conversation with a gentleman and his wife about "his and her airplanes." I'd love to come again.

Stopped in yesterday in a Stationair to stretch my legs. Kudos to the friendly folks at David Jones A/C Services who offered to drive me to a restaurant for a quick bite. I took them up on it and offered a few bucks for their gas, which they refused. Doesn't get any nicer than that. Also, I didn't buy any fuel but was told it was under 4 bucks.

Return trip to Cortland was a nightmare. Landed at 4:30 p.M. On Friday in bad weather. Airport is deserted. We start calling all the phone numbers listed on the "can we help you" board. Everything went STRAIGHT into voicemail. From the airport manager's phone to the city manager's phone to the supposed FBO's phone, no answer. Finally got a hold of the maintenance guy. Asked to at least UNLOCK the FBO so we could get out of the rain (we're crouching under the wing of our airplane), and he refused. Hotel room prices had tripled because it was "graduation" night. Even the normal pay-by-the-hour EconoLodge was demanding $165/night! We will forever make it a point to avoid this airport. They can give fuel away for all we care.

Great airport. Great runway and taxiway. GREAT fuel prices. Great pilots that visit and fuel up. Great little town with great people in it. I've never used the word "great" so many times to describe anything north of the Mason-Dixon line, but everything about Cortland is simply great. Will be a regular, scheduled stop for all future trips to the east.

Great airport with a friendly and very helpful staff, self serve fuel, and a nice location.
