Cute little airport, very convenient to the area. Cafe is nice. No ramp or tie-down fee that I am aware of. Fuel price seemed par for the area and as advertised on AirNav. I found the FBO operation however, a bit lacking in the basic FBO-type customer-service I have come to expect. For example, they couldn't find the rental car company phone number (Enterprise), didn't have a real weather terminal, didn't know how I could pick up a clearance on the ground, didn't have a coffee pot, failed to inform the rental company of my car return as requested, and generally seemed just disinterested. I don't consider any of this as necessarily disqualifying, but they probably should consider coaching their staff about what is typical for customer service at airports. Then again, it is possible that their mission is other than attracting transients. It is a very cool airport, though. There is also, a restaurant (not open when I was there), motel (over-priced for what you get but OK.)

Nice field but watch out when there’s a stiff direct crosswind. Even with a 172 there is NO room for error.

Flew in on a business trip - stayed at the hotel, ate at the cafe' and parked on the ramp -- the full experience at Flying W! All were highly rated. The hotel room was big and clean, the food at the cafe was great, and the ramp service was very good. The rental car place delivered the car right to the FBO where the cafe is, which was outstanding. I would highly recommend this airport for business travelers.

What a neat airport. Everyone is so friendly, the fuel price is good, and breakfast is great. We highly recommend the "Flying W Airport".
