Robbinsville Airport has been my second house since I was born. My father was a customer of various flight schools, and flying clubs that have came, and went in the 90s. I have now been a customer of the Airmods Flight School on site, and a past customer of the old flight school that was there years ago. (North East Aviation.) The Airport has served me well as its convenient from my house. (20 mins from where I live.) The pilots who fly out of here are the most charming of all you can be around. I also am head of the Mercer Flying Club that works within Airmods. We are a social unit, and very similar to the NJ99's and EAA but a little more informal however. We meet monthly, and conduct flyouts monthly. We meet every third Friday of the month, and our flyouts are usually on the last week of the month. Check us out sometime! Also, make sure to stop in at Robbinsville Airports open house occurring next week on August 8th! (All day event with various displays of aircraft that will be present.)

AirMods has taken over the flight school as of Fall 2008 and is now providing training and fuel (self serve). Prices are now much lower than before, no more having to go to Central Jersey to get fuel.

Although the FBO is not at the field on a regular basis, I found the fuel prices to be among the lowest in NJ and the folk at AirMods to be extremely helpful and courteous. One of their instructors drove me to a local hotel and hand - propped me the next day after I left the master on overnight.

Ground Support! What ground support? Been here as a transient 2 times because we have local friends. No one on Unicom except local traffic, no lineman to greet you, no signage we could find to show where transient parking is located. Parked, then someone walked over to say we had taken someone's space but could give no guidance where it IS ok to park. Restarted and taxied around until I found someone who could help (he wasn't an airport employee so he had to go ask while I sat there idling), so we finally just parked then quickly got out of there before I was told I couldn't park in THAT space. Not fun, and not a good experience. But, no one collected the $10 parking fee either. Their fuel isn't the cheapest either (as of this writing, but I had enough to get home without buying any. Advice to transients - - go somewhere else. There are plenty of other airports nearby with cheaper fuel if you need it and might well have better service, too.
