I called to verify price of fuel and the attendant there told me that the runway is being resurfaced and the runway is closed for the next 45 days.

CHECK NOTOAMS! Stellar Airpark is installing a brand new runway and parallel taxiways and should re-open to aircraft on or about September 3rd, 2008. CHECK NOTAMS! Pre-paid fuel card program at Stellar Air will get you up to a 30 cent a gallon discount on 100LL off their already low prices!!!

Small airport but has a friendly staff, SS pumps and new repair facility at the FBO. Good place to get in, good fuel prices. Use 17 for 90% on the time, but watch for Xwind at the approach!

24 hr unattended fuel. Tie downs available for $5 per night. Very well maintained runway. Avionics shop on site. Very small bathroom at the east end of the hangars on the west side of the runway. No pilot lounge. Plenty of flying enthusiasts in and around the planes most of the day. Great place to fill up. Fantastic Mexican food resturant (Esposas) about a half mile west of the airport on Chandler Rd. Its a Ma and Pa type place-- not much to look at but great fresh food.
