An excellent overnight stop on our way back to Colorado. A beautiful FBO, super friendly service (whether by phone, email or in-person), and attentive line staff. The FBO booked us a great room at the Marriott Town Square, which provides nice rooms, complimentary shuttle service and great location/options for dinner. Hope to be back!

Flew into the airport for a FAA Safety seminar; I was awed by the professionalism of the FBO staff, but most importantly/significantly, I was overwhelmed by the sense of "community" the FBO/airport exudes. From the Tomahawk pilot based out of SGR to the corporate jocks and the professional ATC staff that attended the seminar, you have the feeling of "unity and pride" - everyone directed towards a common goal of safety and improvement of the airport. I'm impressed.

Our son and his family live in Sugar Land. We wanted to visit them and the grandsons and let them all fly, so SGR was the obvious place to go. The inside staff and the line guys were all super helpful and friendly for the duration of our stay. One of the line guys drove us all back out to our plane and took a photo of our entire group beside our Sundowner. Even the Sugar Land tower folks went above and beyond to assist. Definitely worth a stop. You will not be disappointed.

As a fractional pilot I see MANY FBOs all over N. America. As a rule, city run FBOs just have the basics and are fine. Sugar Land blows most retail FBO out of the water as far as amenities go let alone city owned ones. One of the largest, comfortable, well thought out crew areas I have ever seen. I love coming here.

I base my Mooney here at SGR and have for the last 5 years. They recently completed state of the art T Hangers to replace the miserable hangers they had before. I endured the miserable hangers for 5 years because everything else at SGR was awesome. The service, the personnel. Now, the place is Airplane Heaven if you base there, and I'm sure a great place to stop if you're transient. Just PERFECT!!

A four-hour layover and what a great place to stop. This is a high quality SERVICE PROVIDER! Much better than a RED CARPET CLUB! Too bad the sandwich shop doesn't set up a branch here. Great attitude of all service personnel. They are doing it RIGHT!! Keep the excellence rolling!

This is one of the prettiest FBO's we've ever seen, including a great Western gift shop. The service was top notch, yet the gas prices were not out of line with what we paid in southwest Texas. We only bought 20 gallons for our little 172, but they did not charge us for two night's parking.

Flying into and out of Sugar Land Regional Airport is a fantastic experience. From an infrastructure point of view they have everything. The professional ramp crew marshaled us to parking with clear signals. They were extremely helpful getting our PAX into their limo, which was planeside by the time we opened the door. Once PAX were on their way, the ramp crew made sure we had everything we needed. The FBO facility is great. Crew lounge has a theater, quiet rooms, kitchen, weather planning, conference room, workout room and a bunch of other rooms to relax in. When our PAX arrived late at night, we were astonished when their cab drove off with their luggage instead of heading to the plane to load it. The SGR crew worked feverishly to help us get our stuff back. Our hat is off to everyone at SGR. Absolutely one of the best FBO experiences we've ever had!

After reading all the good comments about the Sugar Land FBO, I was anxious to get there. We had left LBB that morning at 0600, so I called them about 0730 ask them about a rental car for my passengers and told them we would be there in 20 minutes. Entering the ramp not a lineman was to be seen and being the first time there I had no idea where they wanted us parked so I took a chance and knew better than to park at the front, as all FBO's certainly don't want a C421 up front. So I parked at the far end. Sure enough 5 minutes after I parked a jet came in and there were 3 linemen there to help them! In this day and time its a shame that all airplanes aren't treated the same!

AWESOME.... This is by far the nicest FBO/Terminal I have EVER seen. They were busy but got me fueled very quickly.. The pilot’s lounge was out of this world. Great service, friendly, helpful staff. This is my first time in Sugar Land. Usually fly into Hobby but Sugar Land is now my first choice for a Huston airport. Thanks Sugar Land

In & out on 23 Nov (Sunday). Super nice facility, very nice people, reasonable ramp fee ($10) w/ a reasonable min fuel purchase to waive (5 gal) for a piston single. One negative: no Internet computers for flight planning! They have a weather-only dedicated machine, that’s it. Pretty surprising lack these days, for an otherwise top-notch facility.

Excellent Customer Service! I am part of a 135 crew, and arrived into Hobby for a trip out of Sugar Land. We showed up at 11 PM (closing time), and our hotel would not give us a ride. Kedrick gave us a ride in his personal car and saved us time and money. He did it with a smile and NO reservations. Even though he was moments from leaving for the night, he took care of us. This is also a beautiful facility. We had a great experience, and we see a lot of FBO's.

Sugar Land has really changed over the past couple of years. I used to come here quite a lot a while back when they were in a trailer. Have always had good service, but now, what a beautiful new FBO Terminal. Good gas prices, very nice young lady at the counter and the line guy even called me "Captain" (like I was somebody). Make sure that, if your plane is owned by your company, you tell them that you are the "Corporate Pilot". They are more than happy to loan you the "crew car" for a couple of hours. Plenty of time to get a bite to eat. We used to go to Million Air (HOU) mainly because of the traffic on I-59 but will now change back to SGR. Very nice city owned FBO (plus the roads have gotten better).

05/18/08. Due to massive ramp construction, over night parking was limited. There were a few openings, but me and my little Piper PA-22 was directed to move to a place marked Delta Ramp. There was no tie down facilities, so I did the best I could with chocks. I returned on Sunday (Mother's Day) to depart. I was not charged any parking fees just fuel. When I got to my plane I found it covered with about an inch of Texas red sandy loam dirt. The ramp guy said helicopters had come in and blew dirt everywhere. Being Mother's day, not to many people around, just the lady I paid for fuel and this ramp guy. He was very helpful. Used his truck to bring 5 gallon buckets of water and a ladder so I could wash off my Piper. It was not a pleasant experience. I find no fault with Sugar Land FBO. Not much they can do with helicopters and flying dirt. But if you’re a small plane owner and going to Houston, you might seek somewhere else to park over night until the construction is completed.

Due to our ramp construction project, our North Terminal Entrance taxiway has been closed until further notice. This has created a one-way in/ one way out situation on south terminal taxiway. Upon departure (during ATC hours 0600-2200), please contact ground at 121.4 before taxiing. Please continue to check NOTAMS for up-to-date information. We apologize for the inconvenience.

A very nice FBO if you are looking for a place to relax, but don't expect the best treatment unless you're in a jet. The staff was very unprofessional, I wasn't greeted when I arrived, I had to go walk around the whole FBO and find chalks, and beg someone to take it to the tie downs. My only serious problem with this airport is the ATC. I have never encountered someone so idiotic and forgetful, I guess he was just upset he isn't working at IAH. Whomever was running the tower the other day would give me indications for the approach, then say I didn't obey his commands. I even saw him direct a plane to go around on final and do a 45 degree turn to come back to base, to beat a Citation that was on a 5 mile final!!! Very unsafe and unprofessional, someone is going killed or fired. I hope the latter. Response from Jodie Kaluza, Airport Services Manager, City of Sugar Land (FBO) Mr. Brown, I would like to extend a personal apology for any poor service you received during your visit to SGR. The description of your visit was unacceptable and will be looked into. I have also passed on your complaint to the SGR Tower Chief and he will also look into the situation on his end. If you would like to give us more details, do not hesitate to contact me at jkaluza@sugarlandtx.gov. Again, we apologize and hope that you give SGR another try.

Stopped in on a busy Friday morning in my PA28 to pick up my business partner on our way to a meeting in Corpus Christi and couldn't get the old bird started. When the ramp crew didn't a 12V jumper to do the trick the FBO manager jumped on a tug, drove over, hooked up the cables and got the job done. Fast and courteous, we made our meeting on time. I didn't even buy fuel and was by far the smallest fish in the pond (parked behind a Merlin III and a CJ). Very professional. We'll be back.

Nice facility. Arrived in a BRAND NEW Turbo 182 bought 50+ gallons of gas. Asked for the crew car to pick up a quick bite to eat. Unfortunately, the crew cars are for "corporate" pilots only. Their brochure says they cater to the corporate customer. Believe them.

Flew in on 1-14-08. Beautiful facility and great food at CoffeeWorks. Everyone I talked to was very friendly. Can't say anything about the courtesy car, I never left the terminal. Although some non-millionaire guy did get a car for lunch and as far as I could tell he wasn't given any grief about it. I opted to buy 10 gallons of fuel versus paying the $5 ramp fee for my Cessna 205. Would gladly stop in again if I were in the area.

Apparently (based on a visit yesterday Jan 13, 2008) don't bother showing up here and expect to get a crew car even if buying fuel, *unless* you are wearing a million bucks of corporate jet on your shoulder straps. I was told that crew cars (new policy) are for corporate use only. The story goes some hapless piston single guy took a car and totaled it and turned out to not have any car insurance of his own. Hence the "new policy." I personally think it's crazy to take away a nice feature at a nice facility like that for any transient pilot buying fuel. Sure, maybe on busy weekdays, the 750 gallon brigade SHOULD get priority on cars, but if they are available it seems churlish/un-aviation-spirited even un-American (!) to make up rules like this based on one bad apple. 99% of pilots aren't going to wreck their crew car. Bad luck to them that one person in 100 did, but what about us 99 and also we won't stop in for fuel if there's no car, at least I won't. Hopefully they will rethink.

Excellent, new facility on southwest part of Houston. Easy access to Interstate and a quick 20 minutes to city center. Extensive flight planning room, etc. Two car rental companies on site. Placed fuel order upon arrival and when I checked in with them to pay bill, the fueling had not occurred. Normally they waive the one nights ramp-parking fee of $5 with fuel purchase, so they waived the overnight fees for two nights due to the missed fuel service. The FBO didn't have any approach plates, so they lent me their crew car to drive to the other side of the airport to Anson Air (flight school) and I purchased all the various states I needed. Good pilot shop at this school. All in all a very comfortable stop with a positive attitude and excellent bathrooms.

I didn't stop at the FBO, but I've made countless touch-and-goes at SGR, and have never had a bad experience with the tower staff. Flew south from IWS to SGR for a few touch-and-goes on 6/5/07. Tower had us cleared for the option while a Citation and a Challenger held short of 17 for us. Controller was very courteous and didn't seem to mind holding short the big guys for our arrival. Nice job, tower!

The Sugar Land FBO coordinated well with them as well. We will ALWAYS return when in the Houston area. Thanks guys!
