Stopped by to visit a friend that lived near the airport. While the FBO isn't much, it had great fuel prices. I wish the airport had GPS approaches for IMC, but a tower immediately to the east of the field may hamper future approaches.

Great, friendly airport. The north end of the taxiway is a little wavy, no problem for my Mooney. Just taxi a little slower. The folks went out of their way to help me with a hot start, even offering a power cart if my battery ran low. Finally got is started, left the cell phone in the office. They ran it out to me. The BBQ at Louie Mueller’s was phenomenal, true Texas ambiance! :)

Great alternative to paying the big bucks at KAUS. Nice runway and facilities. Agree with an earlier post about the wavy taxiway. Watch that prop. '66 MOONEY M20E "Matilda"

A great airport for fueling on the way back to KAUS. Fuel prices are affordable. Don't taxi too fast...The taxiway is a little "wavy". :-)

Self-serve fuel is quick and cheap (compared to AUS). Whataburger, McD's, Sonic, all downtown. Must stop in and try Louie Mueller BBQ, off 427 just a few blocks west of 95; great food and free wi-fi.

I frequently stop by Taylor for affordable fuel on my way back home to AUS. Fuel always seems competitively priced; the airport is well maintained, and the people who work there are friendly. Winds can be pretty fluky over the highway when landing to the north. Masfajitas, the Mexican restaurant at the nearby Best Western, is a decent lunch / dinner stop. Be sure to get the apple pie served hot in a sizzling skillet for dessert.

Stopped in at Taylor March 6th 2007 for a bite to eat. I have been there several times and have always had friendly reception. Good fuel prices and a courtesy car during the day. Can't remember the names of the guys I've seen there but they have all been very helpful. If traveling through, I would recommend stopping here as opposed to Austin (not GA friendly). Runway is good, fuel is cheap, personnel are friendly, courtesy car available, light GA traffic... What else does one need?

Great airport very friendly with the best fuel prices in the area. There is a motel a 100 yards from the field. Highly recommend this airport for overnight or passing through.

Stopped here for the night on my way back to Chicago at the Best Western which is walking distance but the FBO let me use the city car to transport my luggage over. They will let you use the car for about 2 hours but it must stay in the city. Very nice and helpful people at both places.
