Self-serve fuel is quick and cheap (compared to AUS). Whataburger, McD's, Sonic, all downtown. Must stop in and try Louie Mueller BBQ, off 427 just a few blocks west of 95; great food and free wi-fi.

Great fuel prices! Friendly folks...

I frequently stop by Taylor for affordable fuel on my way back home to AUS. Fuel always seems competitively priced; the airport is well maintained, and the people who work there are friendly. Winds can be pretty fluky over the highway when landing to the north. Masfajitas, the Mexican restaurant at the nearby Best Western, is a decent lunch / dinner stop. Be sure to get the apple pie served hot in a sizzling skillet for dessert.

Stopped in at Taylor March 6th 2007 for a bite to eat. I have been there several times and have always had friendly reception. Good fuel prices and a courtesy car during the day. Can't remember the names of the guys I've seen there but they have all been very helpful. If traveling through, I would recommend stopping here as opposed to Austin (not GA friendly). Runway is good, fuel is cheap, personnel are friendly, courtesy car available, light GA traffic... What else does one need?

Great airport very friendly with the best fuel prices in the area. There is a motel a 100 yards from the field. Highly recommend this airport for overnight or passing through.

Stopped here for the night on my way back to Chicago at the Best Western which is walking distance but the FBO let me use the city car to transport my luggage over. They will let you use the car for about 2 hours but it must stay in the city. Very nice and helpful people at both places.

Stayed here while visiting our son in Leander. Very friendly people, comfy facilities and great fuel price. Tie downs are available overnight for no charge. I would plan on staying here on my next trip.

Taylor is a great little airport, not very busy and good fuel prices. The short walk to the Tex-Mex place is worth the stop. Make sure you order the house specialty!

Brief stop for fuel. Nice facility, 24/7 fueling and good prices, good hospitality, courtesy car, and on field motel with a decent Tex-Mex restaurant. Plan a stop if you are in the area.

Nice smooth surfaces for landing and taxiing. Cardtrol fuel very reasonable. I needed batteries for ANC headset and they found a pair for me. If T74 is on your path don't be afraid to stop there. Fast in & out.

I have stopped at Taylor a couple of times recently. VERY friendly FBO, can NOT say the same for the Maintenance shop! Price of fuel good!

I stay in Taylor on business once a month and visit more often, because I find the friendliest people and the most pleasant atmosphere. The airport is clean and there is always some interesting aircraft and activity from Citation to Velocity. The Best Western across the street is clean and the staff very pleasant and friendly. In the same facility is a nice little Mexican food restaurant. I recommend the Shrimp Brochette. Gas prices are set to encourage commerce. There is an excellent aircraft maintenance facility along with a very interesting helicopter refurbish operation. The runway and taxiway is immaculate. Tell them I sent you.

Oct 27 05 used T74 as an overnight stop for an Austin trip. Clean roomy airport, runway in great shape. Self serve was 3.40 according to my ticket although the updated price on airnav for this day shows 2.99. Still a best buy with KAUS over 5.00. Someone mentioned a terminal building or FBO, if there is one we didn't see it. We found a restroom at a maintenance hangar and they said there was no other place around and allowed us to use their facilities for which I thanked them and offered to pay which they declined. Enterprise brought car over in minutes, drive to Austin was about 30 minutes to the north end. Will stop again!

Nice Airport. With lots of tie-downs. Nice People. 24 hour fuel. Fuel prices seemed fair in comparison.

I'm based at KAUS, but frequently stop at Taylor for both cheap fuel and maintenance from Brundage Aviation. There is now a Mexican resteraunt at the Best Western next door to the airport, but I haven't tried it yet. Recommended.
