After a long day of flying, I received a warm welcome from the staff at Tropical. They made my experience there a very pleasant one. They had a car waiting, and the owner himself was there to welcome me. These people love aviation and understand what pilots need. I will definitely come back here and would highly recommend Tropical if you are stopping in San Juan.

Great Service! Flew in from Maiquetía, Couldn't get in contact with customs to notify arrival, called Tropical Air and they took care of it while I was in flight, saved my day! Facilities are nice and service excellent, the staff is very helpful. Couldn't get a taxi for passengers, they took them in the crew car to their meeting I was really impressed. Flight planning room needs to have charts accessible; they have them, but not on display for ease of use. Will definitely visit again!

What a great opportunity to setup my operations at this outstanding facility. I'm looking forward to starting my FAR 135 Helicopter operations soon and can't wait to experience the attention to details and care that Noemi and Karina show for their clients. We recently had the opportunity to visit Tropical Aviation on our way to Brazil with two King Air Blackhawk C90xp aircraft. We were on our first leg of a South American demo tour and ultimately this would also be our last leg on the return trip. From the moment we arrived the service was as good or better than any of the premier FBO's in the CONUS. Noemi went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed and were on our way as quickly as possible. She even had sandwiches for both crews on the return trip as she correctly assumed that we had not eaten since we left Manaus Brazil with a short stop in Grenada for fuel. She took care of our weather briefing as well as filing our flight plans. The fuel prices were very reasonable and the service and facilities were impeccable. I have both good and bad things to report. First the good: Very nice FBO facility, nice runway, good fuel price and TJIG is easier to fly into and out of compared to TJSJ. Now the bad: Although we called twice to confirm that a minivan would be waiting for us, upon arrival no minivan and no record of our request. We ended up waiting almost 30 minutes with a very hungry baby. The FBO blamed Hertz which may be true, but why no record of our twice confirmed request. Isn't this what customer service is all about? Although the fuel price charged was the $3.14 advertised, the extra almost $250 in undisclosed other charges were a shock. I had checked with Million Air next door and the same extra charges would have been $67. Million Air's prices are a few cents more, but in the end they are less expensive. Next time we will use Million Air, but we will also get everything confirmed in writing to make sure.
