I have landed at this airport several times over the years to get gas with no problems. There is no one there to help you if you need service. The screen on the pump where you enter your data and get your card approved is scratched so badly that you can't read any instructions. I was unable to pump gas and had to fly to another airport. The screen was actually as rough as sandpaper with deep grooves. This is a municipal airport owned by the City of Beaver. It is too bad that they have to suffer this kind of vandalism.

Called several days in a row to verify prices, and hours of operation- only an answering machine, and no courteous return phone call. AirNav says $4.99/gal, found out actually $6.25/gal. Beware, and make sure and get a confirmation or price first...

4.15/gal. Not much here besides cheap gas. Your bathroom is a porta-john just to the west of the fueling area. Tight turn out facing north, so you are best to push back after fueling.

DON'T BOTHER. I stopped there on 18 May 2010, and the fuel pump was out of service, without the courtesy of a NOTAM, and there is no FBO so I couldn't radio ahead to verify availability. The "emergency" number listed on the pump rang in the city manager's office, which had long since been deserted at 7:00 pm. The money you might save is not worth the hassle; avoid Beaver unless you are on island time and can afford an extra stop.

Nice little airport. Unfortunately, we weren't able to get fuel out of the pump. Talked to the manager today. There doesn't seem to have been a problem. So I don't know what we did wrong. I would recommend giving them a quick call before you depart for U52, just to make sure the pump's OK. We were there at 10pm. Plans don't always come together at that time of the night. I'd like to try this place again. Fuel was marked $3.70 when we were there.

Stopped by U52 on my way from San Diego to SLC because they had the lowest priced fuel, $3.89, on my route. I have no complaints about this place. The fuel pump worked perfectly. There was a ladder. Fuel cost was as indicated on AirNav. Easy in easy out, as there was no other traffic. Runway was in good condition. I think that most pilots will be satisfied with U52 as long as they understand that there is affordable fuel, a portapoti, and that's it. The place looked well cared for and I'm pleased that Beaver City does such a good job.

Very inexpensive fuel. I wouldn't boycott as Mr. Lewis suggest. Just got fuel there on a X-country (65 gals). It is very isolated with no services. Just a port a potty. But if you know that before hand it is great to fuel and go. Be self sufficient when landing here! I fly alot in the rural parts of Western US and there are many worst places than this. If you need a fancy FBO not happening here. If you want to save some money on fuel and spend the savings on a keg beer after your day of cross-country then stop here.

Short story. On AirNav the fuel was advertised as $3.29 a gallon updated on September 2nd and I had checked AirNav the night of the 5th. I stop by on the 6th and pulled in to see a sign that said $3.89. I checked AirNav again right there on my phone and it still said $3.29. I didn't need to stop in the middle of nowhere for that price. I had to load 75 gallons. That was $45 they screwed me out of. The maggots in the port-a-potty were just a bonus I guess. Don't stop here. I've only run into this kind of misrepresentation on AirNav once before. What do you do when you're out in the middle of nowhere? I was stuck. Help keep AirNav fuel prices honest and boycott Beaver Municipal Airport U52!

Not much here except a pump and a porta potty. Runway in ok shape but no one in sight. If you’re a no frills cheap gas kinda pilot this is the place!
