The last time I visited, they were selling Jet-A at a really decent price, however when I went to fuel, the self-service pump was inoperative. I tried to get information about when it would be repaired, and through unofficial channels (it's hard to find anyone in authority to talk to) was told "probably never". Sure enough, they no longer advertise Jet-A for sale. This is perplexing as I was hoping to move my three aircraft to this airport, and either build, buy, or lease hangar space.

Was charged 133.98 but equipment failed to pump. No response to phone calls. Also static line to aircraft was broken. Many attempts to call on a Weekday morning go to voice mail.

Easy in and easy out. Great airport to avoid the Orlando metroplex area and gold plated gas.

There are several comments about the FBO being staffed. THERE IS NO FBO OPERATION AT THIS AIRPORT! At least not in the sense that there is nobody, repeat NOBODY, at the FBO building to provide any sort of FBO services. The FBO building and the self-service fueling operation are both owned by the City of Apopka, but they do NOT have anybody on site to perform traditional FBO services. There are frequently one or two guys sitting behind the counter in the FBO building, but they are NOT FBO personnel. Usually, they are instructors at the LSA school (First Landings) that operates out of that building, but they have nothing to do with the FBO operation. This is a privately owned airport, open for public use, but there are really no transient services. You can buy fuel (self-service), you can park, you can find maintenance (Akerman Aviation is highly recommended for fixed-wing, Universal Air for helicopters), but you're basically on your own to hunt these things down.
